I also happen to believe, as we evolve we become better at transmitting those messages to our past (if we want to do that) and in turn, we become better and more intune to receive them, then we can close that gap ~ I'm not sure if I am really making myself clear so I will give a few more examples.

I will quote a few real personal stories that I found in my search for others who felt the same way.

It's just so hard to muster it most of the time!

Maybe I got through to myself enough to keep me on this particular timeline and off some other one?

Can any one relate to this? This starting happening, ALL of it since 2004- when I first read Lindas book. Since then it has increased 10fold.
I have many of my own experiences that I will get around to sharing.... I'm curious to see if LL folk are feeling it too.

Past, present, and future are all the same projection. That's why we can incarnate at any point in illusory time. My last life could have been in the year 3500, and my next life can be in the year 1673. Time only appears to be linear while we are caught up and trapped in it. We are born whenever and wherever it takes to get the map (natal chart) we need to learn the lessons we choose beforehand. So, not only can your future self send energy and support to your past self (and vice versa as dictated by the laws of reverse polarity), but you might sometimes give actual physical help by having a simultaneous incarnation (having a past or future life that coincides with another current one). In fact, that person who so unselfishly helps you that you thought was an angel may just be YOU! Or, since conflict creates change (often positive change), your enemy could also be YOU. Just spiraling on your idea some.

This is such an awesome thread...wonderful for spiralling on.

I was gonna reply earlier but got distracted(again).

I took your cue and decided to send positive energy to my past self. I thought I should send my past self some hope when I would have been the most hopeless and so I focussed on the time when I almost killed myself(yeah, hopeless, I know).

I told my past self that it was not over, that there was still hope and happiness and a chance to alter the fates and that I(my past self) should hold on, just a little bit and experience for themselves.

As I did this, a sudden realisation struck me. Back when I had tried to commit suicide and written a note explaining the hopelessness I was experiencing, I had felt a miniscule, teensiest ray of hope, a small voice that implored me to stay.

And that's what struck me. Had I, my future self, stopped me, my past self, from killing itself and thus obliterating both of us???

AWESOME!!!

And they say time-travel is not possible...
