I've heard the flashes of light are when we connect to I AM consciousness. I get them frequently when I have a 'flash of insight', but not always. Sometimes it's when my thoughts are empty or when I try to purposely detach them in this pseudo-meditative technique I read somewhere. Really though, I want to know what this flash of darkness is. All light will disappear from an area, and at times I thought I was somehow just sucking up all the light in the area for a brief second, but I don't think it's that. I learned after a while that I'm the only person who sees these flashes of light and I'm pretty sure the darkness operates on the same scale.

I also get the blue bindu on occasion and am curious if anyone has any information or can give me any more detail on it. The whole thing is kind of confusing (the phenomena associated with it).

During his stay with me, he ardently prayed to Shri Swami Samarth for enlightenment. He returned to his daughter's house in San Antonio in September 4, 1995. When he left, he was in a rather dejected mood, as he didn't get the desired experiences during his stay with me.

On the moring of September 5, during my usual prayers, I heard the commanding voice of Shri Swami Samarth, "Tell Dadasaheb not to worry. I am looking after his well being. He shall see a "blue dot" expanding into shining circles, surrounded by a sparkling golden light, during his meditation today. Confirm this with him so that he will trust that the unique experience has been bestowed by Me."

I had planned to call Dadasaheb in the evening. However, around noon while I was still at my office, Shri Swami Samarth's voice kept on prompting me to contact dadasaheb immediately. When i phoned him, his daughter answered the phone and said that he was just about coming out of his meditation room. I asked him without even exchanging any pleasantries, about the experiences as narrated by Shri Swami Samarth. Dadasaheb was stunned. He confirmed the episode and said, "Today I had extremely deep meditation which I had never experienced before. I did see the "blue dot" expanding into shining circles, surrounded by a very bright golden light. I am extremely happy that you called me because that was when I was absorbed in enjoying the experience in the trance." I told Dadasaheb that it was Shri Swami Samarth who showered His blessings on him and I was just a carrier of His message.

This leela reveals the omniscient and omnipotent powers of Shri Swami Samartha operating with uncanny precision. But for the confirmatory communication of this spiritually electrifying experience from a third person, Dadasaheb may not have een ralized that Shri Swami Samarth had responded to his prayers and showered His grace on him.

The "blue dot" which appears before the inner vision expands in small circles, like th eripples of water in a quiet pond, and with a very bright sparkling golden light, is the initial stage of progress on the spiritual path. The devotee should understand that this is not the ultimate end. He should try to penetrate beyond this "blue dot" which is visible through the spiritual eye. If he succeeds in doing so, he will realize that, as seen through the telescope, the "blue dot" embraces the entire universe. He should notbe satisfied and get himself absorbed in the beauty of the "blue dot". he should try to go beyond it and continue to concentrate on this path to the ultimate Truth. Then he is likely to reach his supreme goal. There is no short cut or instant result in this path. It is a continuous long term process; it may even require several births. This is a zigzag road, and only with complete understanding can the progress be made. This can be accomplished with patience, devotion, consistent practice and absolute faith in the sadguru (Nana Gadre)."

I have been getting these dreams over a couple of years that i am moving either on foot, train, bus or plane. And mostly when i do, though not always, it is in darkness, mostly the twilight period. It is either in the evening when the night is about to start, sometimes in proper darkness and at times at dawn when i can see light about to break. And it is not in any proper sequence.

I have been having these strange dreams too...each dream runs like a film with a plotline, mostly I'm just running around, leaping over trucks etc. having a mission to infiltrate and resist some organisation bent on killing me. I never get injured in my dreams and I always see them in first-person.

EDIT: Also the flashes of darkness. It's like suddenly my vision is plunged into an utter and complete darkness. it usually lasts for 1-3 seconds. I have my eyes open when it happens and it's like the light just blinks out of existence and then gets switched back on.

I'm kind of confused. I don't know what you mean by this, but my kundalini is clearing blockages at various levels. I know some tantrics like to say it cannot happen like this and will go from chakra to chakra, but others do and that's what is happening to me.

I don't feel like things are as dark as they were. The dark flashes don't feel like a negative experience, and I can see some light off in the distance when it happens sometimes. It's just odd.

I am feeling so crap in the last days, on edge, like something is about to happen whilst at the same time a part of "me" keeps rationalizing every phenomena I've had in the last year away because reality and perception don't match. And it's me saying "look, surely there's some scientific explanation for all of this, like your subconcious playing tricks because you are etc..." I cannot fully believe, even so a part of me is like the girl in Constantine after she comes out of the bathtube

Yeah, the fear and paranoia is horrible sometimes with it. Coffee can make that worse. Trust me you're sane Yrone. Even if psychosis does happen, which I don't see likely in your case, it's completely natural and has been happening to soon-to-be shaman and mystics for millenia and is a healing phenomenon when coming from kundalini.

If anything, our world is crazy. Sometimes to heal and grow parts of us have to break and die.

I thought it was flashes of light/darkness on the inside, mental images of them.

I have not had the experience(s) you describe.

["Very similar to my dreams in the last 12 months. Journey by Foot, bus, train, plane. Saw many airports and stations."]

~ What do you suppose the reccurence of this theme means? Coincidentally, I've been experiencing that too over the last 2yrs! I'm always packing, or with luggage. Always in a car, bus, train, going somewhere, or at an airport too. In reality, travel & movement have pretty much been the same for me, so I'm not sure it has to do with that.

PS. Happy Be-lated Birthday! & have a wonderful year. Sorry it's delayed as I've been MIA for awhile.
