Has anyone else ever sighted a dog man or werewolf creature? I have seen the same one three times all at night and a friend and her boyfriend have also seen it. My neighbors have also seen it. It's very big. Definitely over 6'2". It's dog-like yet human like. It can walk on all fours or upright. Its very quick and agile. It's stealthy. We have never seen any animal move like this creature. I had the impression of a supernatural being. The first time I witnessed it, it didnt snarl or threaten me but it did seem to get nearer each time it moved. The headlights of an oncoming vehicle may possibly have saved me. Two sightings occurred outside my home. I couldnt move. I dont think I was scared. I think I was to shocked and in total awe of just what it was that I was suppose to be looking at. It truly looked like a werewolf you'd see in comic books. If you were to take a man and a wolf and mesh them together it would definitely look like this being. I have researched sightings on the net and The Bray Road Beast by Linda S Godfrey has pictures on her site that closely resemble what I saw. If werewolves do exist than is it possible that vampires might also? And if they exist then you'd seriously have to wonder what else is roaming out there in the night. I dont know what would be more frightening..running into a werewolf at night near the woods or meeting a vampire in a bar lol. I dont hang out in bars so Im sure I will never have to find out the latter. Gulp. LolIP: Logged |

I know, absolutely there is more out there than any of us know...and I believe they are, infact creatures our urban legends are made of~My daughter and I were once, driving through the brush country, where a new sub division was being cleared. We would take my 4wd and go look for old relics in old ranches and houses that were being demolished. One evening, around dusk, we were driving down a sendara, a long, drivable clearing in the south Texas brush, and all of a sudden this thing comes loping across the sendera from one area of brush to another. We had never seen the likes of it...it "loped" it's hind quarters were higher than it's front, it was black, lean and agile. It's head was close to it's body, similar in proximity to a human's head and neck. Your post encited me to reassess this as a possible werewolf or some likened creature as we quikly ruled out the known cretures in this neck of the woods. One day, I am going to get out my ol friend pencil and pad and draw it... great post!!! IP: Logged |

I have heard somewhere that "legend" is just another word for "truth". I admit I always thought that if such creatures existed then it was probably long ago. It wasn't until after the actual sightings and the research that followed that I discovered there are alot of people across the globe who have had sightings and encounters with this type of creature. I'm definitely never going to forget it. If it is werewolves people are seeing than I wonder if they are as evil as history paints them out to be. Maybe when they're not werewolves they are just everday men and women with jobs and families who live average lives. Perhaps the only thing that makes them different is this one affliction they must keep hidden from the rest of the world. I mean...you certainly never hear about werewolf attacks happening unless the government is covering up that fact. Maybe they are able to retain some semblence of their himanity that allows them to exercise self-control over their actions. Who can say for certain? IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing this story!Lordy, of course there are all kinds of cryptids out there. Come on -- all those stories, many spanning generations, come from somewhere. In the modern era we have Mothman, Big Foot; "Nessie," "Champ," "Ogopogo" and other lake monsters; chupacabras, Spring Heeled Jack, The Monkey Man of India, Yeren - the Chinese Wildman, Thunderbirds, ...and my home state favorite--the Jersey Devil, to name a few. The TV series "Monster Quest" on The History Channel covered a lot of these. A list of cryptids, at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptids Yes, it is interesting to consider what level of human consciousness they have--those that appear to be humanoid.

Jovian I have, and it just doesnt fit.It was too big and nimble and fluid... It was smooth of fur. There was a Yeti sighting not too far from the area by some homeless folks. They were interviewed by the local police and local Yeti hunters and deemed credible, but it was definately not a Yeti~ IP: Logged |
