I have this urge to do this with the aid of some Youtube videos. I guess Im bored and I want to experience something like no other. However, I researsched around the net that it's bad to activate this. You will see a lot of things you shouldnt see like ghosts, demons ,otherworldly figures etc. Its closed for a reason stuff like that. What are the benefits of "activating" your pineal gland?

Many. It will open your awareness to higher realms. Its your connectivity activated. You will be exposed to many things which you may or may not be ready for. Both intellectually and emotionally. It requires certain amount of spiritual maturity to absorb all that. For eg. If a bulb (you) is exposed to too much of voltage when its wires are of low capacity also then both the wire (your body) and the bulb will burn out.

If you dont do it properly and without proper guide its downfalls are also many. One can go mad. So please, please go the traditional way. Dont play with your body for excitement. Some are lucky and are evolved in their previous lives so they may come out the right side up. But its too much of a risk. So do it with guidance and patience. Its definately not an adventure sport. I am sorry, but my intentions are not to put you off. Go ahead by all means. Meditation, yoga and chakra activation are just great. All lead to the same. Opening of pineal gland. All that i am asking you to do is be careful and take proper help.

I'm in no way an expert, but I believe the same texts out there also point out something about how it's about elevating your level or focusing on the higher or "good" things for it to work "properly". If you'd happen to see darker realms then focus on better, lighter things and change your life for what you see to change as well. Higher vibrations?

That, based on what I remember reading a year or two ago. The same texts also seemed to point out that the third eye could still be working fine even if you weren't seeing anything grand. I'm not sure getting rid of boredom is the best reason to go for something like that, but that's not up to me to decide.

As said, I have no personal experience about the matter. Just an excessively itchy middle of the forehead more often than not.
