So, the otherday, my cats knocked off my alarm clock. I reset it and set it for my usual wake up time for work, just to make sure it still worked. And as I lay in bed at 5 am trying to go back to sleep I heard her..
"who, who, who....who...."
An OWL!
She sang to me for 3 times then was gone.
This was yesterday morn.
So this morn, exausted and not feeling well, I called into work...again, as I lay trying to get back to sleep at 2 am..
Here she is again!
And she brought a friend!
I used to have alot of Live Oaks on my property, but since the Oak Wilt, many have died, but I still have a few just outside of my bedroom doors..and that is where I could feel her sitting, her companion was off to the distance and answering from a-far.
She sang for so, so long....I almost didnt want to go back to sleep, so I got up and looked out of my french doors, leading to the back yard.
I could barely make out an owl figure...about 12 inches tall and the tale tale white face almost rotating on the body.
Whatever brought her to me, however, I am so, so blessed to be in San Anto suburbia and experience owls!
Course I look up the symbolism, and I still feel so connected to this creature of the night....
A coupla of my Mexican friends on FB reminded me of this:
alluring?
