Topic: Crazy experiences with birds- what doens it Mean?

In the span of two days I had strange encounters with birds. The first bird was stuck in the subway station and was not able to get outside. It just sat on this crate inside the subway. The same day I saw this pigeon who had a wounded foot, I went out to buy it some food. The next day was the most dramatic. A bird literally fell right at my feet. It could not breather properly and had been injured. I picked it up and took it to a safe place because in Manhattan I knew it would get stepped on. I called animal services while it was laying on the grass. It would not move and was breathing really slowly. I felt horrible. I walked away for a bit came back and saw the bird was now standing again. It still was not completely better, and I had decided to take it to the vet. I waited, it knew who I was. Just then even though it was still wounded I went to reach for it and flew high into the sky to another tree. I was relieved but still upset I could not fully help it. It really had an affect on me. My question is what could this all mean? What is the symbolism of a wounded bird? I would love some interpretations as this experience has had a strong impact on me.IP: Logged |

I have had alot of birds come to me lately...I have created a Zen garden out front and I love to sit there and watch the birds on the feeder.A mocking bird, the "g" of birds in Texas came and sat down right beside me the other day...with a worm in her mouth to feed her young. It is like she just stopped by to say "HI!" Mockingbirds when they have young will swoop down and peck you on the head, so I felt very blessed about this experience. My owl comes around when there is something big about to happen... All creatures are drawn to peace, but I think especially birds, cause they are so flighty...when a bird enters your life, you can bet you are a peaceful person or at a place of peace in your life! This is totally unrelated to any symbolic meaning of "birds" in one's life, but perhaps it will help someone who finds an injured bird sometime.In the spring, living in a country area, I always tried to keep my cat in during the spring months, when the baby birds were being born. My cat catches all kinds of small creatures. However, she inevitably sneaks out. Anyway, once she caught one that she left proudly on the doorstep, and it was still alive. It seemed to have a puncture right into it's chest area. I searched online for what is called a "wildlife rehabilitator" in my area. These are people who mostly do this on a non-profit basis, sometimes specializing in certain animals. I think in most areas there is some license one obtains to be qualified to take in animals. I eventually found a phone number that led to one such person who instructed me on how to best keep the bird, before bringing it to her the next day, as it was late at night when I finally reached someone by phone. She said to keep the bird calm by putting it in a smallish box, trying to keep it fairly dark. (Of course--not an air-tight container, though.) Provide a warm environment. I had a halogen floor lamp, which give off quite a bit of heat. I positioned it near the box. For food, you can try moistening some dry cat food pieces, and feeding it with a tweezer, if the bird is interested. ...I can't recall if that little bird ate anything, when I tried this! Luckily, in this case, the little fledgling made it through the night, and I was able the next day to drive it to the home of this wonderful volunteer bird lady who had given me those instructions.

I've had some beautifully strange experiences as well.5 years ago, I was going through a very difficult time in my life. A huge transformation. Anyways, one morning I was doing sun salutations (yoga) in my front yard, crying, asking if there was a god, angels, whoever around me to show me a sign that they truly exist. Coming back up from the ground, I lift my head and there is this robin right infront of me. Staring. Not moving or flinching even a bit as I stood up. We literally had a stare off until my cat came and tried to pounce on it lmao. When I was pregnant, close to my due date, I was freaking out in my head. "How am I going to do this? I'm not sure I'm going to be a good mother, why is this happening to me? I'm not ready! Whoever is around me, please give me some piece of mind!" As I was coming home to my apartment, I heard these tiny little chirps. I looked down in the grass and noticed baby birds sprawled out. 2 dead and 4 alive, struggling, cold and half dead. There's no way in hell I could leave them there like that. Took them in, made them nice and warm, researched what I could feed them, then took them to the local animal hospital the next afternoon so they could take care of and release them. Thennnnn went into labor exactly a week later. In my eyes, it was a sign that I'm gonna do just fine as a mommy  IP: Logged |

Hi I have only just seen this. Hope you stil come back to read this. If you think there is a special Message attached to this for you, it usually is.
Have you been feeling trapped by your life circumstances lately? It seems to me you are 'stuck' in daily life rushes (the subway) and unable to break free from it.
A wounded bird to me shows a lack of freedom or the inability to break free from the obligations... Do you need a breather, some space?
Would that resonate with you?

I adore this robin story too 
They tend to show up to remove the inner pain (the red on their chest) and show you new ways There are a few beautiful robin legends around. One in regards of removing the thorns from Christ when he was on the cross I believe (I'm not sure, can't really recall) and that was supposedly why their chest is red. Because of the blood from the thorns. It coloured their feathers.
