My computer has been jacked by norton so I am relying on my iPad for net, but had to post this!

My eldest moved into a new apartment a few months ago. She told me some strange things were going on so I took her my sage smudge, some pink candles and told her to get to work.

I guess she never did.....

So by no coincidence I had my spa cleaned a coupla weeks ago. I don't remember how the guy and I got to talking about it, but he told me he just sold a house in the same area of my daughter's apartment and it is haunted as hell. It will even be featured on a program in the future.

So this guy had his team of paranormal investigators out and one if the things they discovered is that there is a windego (sp?) in it, a most terrible sort of native Indian demon that is not to be messed with ever, it is said you just have to walk away....

The area is heavily wooded and beautiful, creek beds run thru it, my daughter loves it there cause they get up in the morning look out to woods and deer, coons and the like. Anyway it was an area of nomadic Indians. My spa guy said outside of his bedroom window there is a mound, not a burial mound, but one that the nomadics used to sleep on.

So my kid and her friend wake up this morning to the bathtub water running, tub half full and a dresser moved about 2 feet from where it was.

Told her to sage the place now. She said it wasn't harmful but I told her with the history of the area she can't let it escalate.

Geez zzz told her too the apt management could be in trouble if they didn't disclose any knowledge of these things.

Wow!

UGGHH, That sucks.!
You know Ohio was a place heavily populated with Native Americans. I have heard about these spirits more than once. If you can't fix it on your own you may need a Shaman who can talk to the spirit in it's own voice - so to speak. Keep me posted!

Gypsee my maternal grandpa, born bred, raised, stayed till he died in Greenfield, Ohio. He was very spiritually open and used to take me for walks in the local cemetery and told me many tales, especially of the Shawnee Indians.

I have been adivised to not mess with this winding, thing IF that is what it is.

Youngest and I just spent a good 2 hours in the same area, on a patio bar overlooking the area....very peaceful...so I am guessing it may very well be the deamon man turned creeper thing....

We shall see!!!

With hauntings like that, isnt the place shes living suppose to disclose that information? Or mabe its just with buying a house? Either way I think if an apartment or house has that much going on, people should know the history. Ghost and spirits can be harmful, I remember this episode of the show A Haunting, and this family moved into this house in California. When they first moved in things were fine, nothing out of the ordinary, but as time went on in the morning they would find the kitchen a mess. Pots and pans everywhere, food thrown around and the mom was thinking was the kids being pranksters. She told them to stop making a mess for her to clean up, they all looked confused why she scolded them. As time went on things got worse, they would hear scratching on the walls in the middle of the night, it would keep them all awake. Over time the mom began to think the house was mabe haunted and she asked her kids if they thought the same thing, as to which they did. The only one who didnt believe it was the father, who would work very long hours and was too tired to notice anything going on. The mom finally did some research online and realized she might need to do a cleansing on the house to rid it of the activity. She brought someone in to help her try to bless the house, and it was even suggested if that didnt work to do a peace offering with the spirit to help calm down the activity. The mom agreed to the idea and chose a small ceramic cat to use as an offering. When the father got home he was angry that his wife believed in such nonsense, as the mom and kids were trying to explain what the the candles and cat were for he got even more upset. So much so that he grabbed the ceramic cat an attempted to throw it out the door, shockingly when he turned back around the cat was back on the fireplace mantle. He picked it up again, and with everyone pleading no, smashed it against wall. Later that night nothing odd happened but in the morning what they found was hair raising...they went into the kitchen to find the word CAT written all over the walls like it had been carved in with something sharp. The real surprise came when they saw hoof prints on the floor track in within flour! The mom knew then they werent dealing with a ghost, but a possible demon that was terriozing the family. Things over the next few weeks got worse and worse for the family, and it was then that they decided to look into moving out. Once the oldest daughter was left alone during the day while everyone else was out. She was in her room when she heard a loud constant bang on her door as she tried to ignore it, it just got louder as to get her attention. She then decided to go ahead and open her room door to see what it was, to her shock she found pans and knifes on the floor as though they had been thrown against the door, it had almost cracked the door in two! She was so afraid she slammed the door shut again and ran into her closet to hide, a few minutes later she started to smell smoke, the daughter then tried to open her room door again to escape but whatever it was locked her in. Just then the mom arrived home, to find that the whole inside of the house had been set with toilet paper! And a small fire was growing in the hallway next to the daughters room with her yelling and screaming to get out! She was able to break down the door to her daughters room to get her out, after that the family abandoned the house for fear it would hurt their other children.

Crazy story I know, but sometimes spirits or demons can try to hurt the living. This I do believe, and should be disclosed especially if very extreme paranormal is taking place in a living space

Actually no, apartments, home owners, etc. do not have to disclose.

The spa guy told me this, as he sold his house, since it is going public he wanted to make sure.

It's not even required to disclose a death in Texas as long as it was "natural means" or nothing like a homicide...I dont think you even have to disclose a suicide...did not have to disclose that when I sold my late husband's truck.

Atleast, I think they can get the apartments to move them to another apartment if needed.

But like I say, it is the entire area has issues, so it is likely to be drawn to particular individuals.

Its too bad that they dont disclose it and people have to find out for themselves about a place. But its good to move her out just in case if it does get real bad. Dealing with too much of that can cause stress and sleepless nights.

I forgot you said to meet you back on this thread that day. I swear my brain is shrinking or something...

Anyway, you have the name off a bit. I found this.

The Wendigo (also known as Windigo, Weendigo, Windago, Windiga, Witiko, Wihtikow, and numerous other variants)[1] is a mythical creature appearing in the mythology of the Algonquian people. It is a malevolent cannibalistic spirit into which humans could transform, or which could possess humans. Those who indulged in cannibalism were at particular risk,[2] and the legend appears to have reinforced this practice as a taboo.
The Wendigo is part of the traditional belief systems of various Algonquian-speaking tribes in the northern United States and Canada, most notably the Ojibwa/Saulteaux, the Cree, and the Innu/Naskapi/Montagnais.[4] Though descriptions varied somewhat, common to all these cultures was the conception of Wendigos as malevolent, cannibalistic, supernatural beings (manitous) of great spiritual power.[5] They were strongly associated with the Winter, the North, and coldness, as well as with famine and starvation.[6] Basil Johnston, an Ojibwa teacher and scholar from Ontario, gives one description of how Wendigos were viewed:[7]
“ The Wendigo was gaunt to the point of emaciation, its desiccated skin pulled tautly over its bones. With its bones pushing out against its skin, its complexion the ash gray of death, and its eyes pushed back deep into their sockets, the Wendigo looked like a gaunt skeleton recently disinterred from the grave. What lips it had were tattered and bloody [....] Unclean and suffering from suppurations of the flesh, the Wendigo gave off a strange and eerie odour of decay and decomposition, of death and corruption. ”
At the same time, Wendigos were embodiments of gluttony, greed, and excess; never satisfied after killing and consuming one person, they were constantly searching for new victims. In some traditions, humans who became overpowered by greed could turn into Wendigos; the Wendigo myth thus served as a method of encouraging cooperation and moderation.[8]
Among the Ojibwa, Eastern Cree, Westmain Swampy Cree, and Innu/Naskapi/Montagnais, Wendigos were said to be giants, many times larger than human beings (a characteristic absent from the Wendigo myth in the other Algonquian cultures).[9] Whenever a Wendigo ate another person, it would grow larger, in proportion to the meal it had just eaten, so that it could never be full.[10] Wendigos were therefore simultaneously constantly gorging themselves and emaciated from starvation.

Thanks Gypsee

Yea, I choose not to mess with it, HIGHLY advised not to.

Our silly society keeps things like this alive and supplies them with energy.

A guy at work told me there is a cartoon, game of something with a Windigo as one of the characters.

geezzzzzzz
