I just remembered a guy who told me that a friend of his had a board and asked for someone to talk to. As a joke or test my friend gave him the name of someone still alive. At first he was amused when the living person answered but then disturbed when the board used the guy's phrases, mannerism and personality. So my friend called the other person the next day to find he was still alive and had no idea that he'd been called into a ouija board (not even weird dreams) but nevertheless the guy asked that he not be called into anymore boards. If that was a spirit doing an impression that was FAST. It makes me wonder if it wasn't some astral memory bank being accessed instead of a spirit... IP: Logged |

Lynne Mctaggart wrote about "the field" and suggested that past life memories might be other peoples' memories, stored there. She also said they'd done studies that showed that intuition might actually be us somehow sending messages back to ourselves. I don't remember how they confirmed it, but they tested it, and apparently found that we could do that. IP: Logged |

I've even wondered if the Akashic records being beyond space & time might help explain precognition. IP: Logged |

As far as I know, it's the most reliable source of information for clairvoyants. Unfortunately it's very difficult to access.------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

I know this thread is pretty old, but I wanted to share an experience I had with a homemade board of sorts. I have always been very frightened of ouiji boards and I have been a firm believer that they are portals for the unknown of which there are more bad things that come through than good...but, curiosity got the best of me a few months ago and I went online and googled how to make one. Well, I took a piece of paper and drew what the board looked like so I could take it home and possibly fashion one out of cardboard or something. Later that night, I was lying across my bed reading and thought about the drawing. So I got it out of my purse and opened it up and was just studying it nothing more. And while I was looking at it, I was thinking of all the things I would ask, random things. At some point I drifted off to sleep...when I woke up, and I swear this happened, the paper was flat on my bed, my hand was on top of the paper, but not resting on it, HOVERING over it. And my hand was MOVING. Moving as in , moving towards LETTERS on the board. I was waking up so I know I was not making my hand move. I completely freaked out because I didn't know what was going on and I threw that paper away! Needless to say, I have not entertained the thought of it again and never will...and I don't know what was going on, but I don't want to find out! IP: Logged |

I happened to stumble upon this topic and found it very interesting. I've always been fascinated with Ouija boards but never really had any experience with them out of fear. I can remember "playing" with one a few times with some friends when I was a teenager. Nothing significant or weird happened as far as I can recall. It was something we tried a few times and lost interest and put it away. But the idea of channeling something evil has always scared me so I guess I never thought to ever try one on my own or ever. I've noticed in our tech age there are now Ouija apps. Has anyone ever tried them and do you feel they actually work and can channel spirits as effectively as a proper board? Just curious because as they say "entertainment purposes only," but I don't think that's a great form of entertainment!IP: Logged |

Yeah... I absolutely will NEVER touch one of those things again... not even at gunpoint. I believe demons are real, and I believe those boards can allow those evil beings direct access to us or our lives. I messed with it a couple of times as a kid... bad experiences, but mostly just creepy. The last time was when I was an adult and was pregnant with my first child. I was hanging out with some girlfriends and one of them had brought an acquaintance along who had brought one with her. She had thought it would be a "fun" way to pass some time for all of us. I didn't know this person and had never met her in my life. I declined to take part, and said... nah, I'll sit this out. I don't like those things, plus, me being pregnant... I just didn't like the thought of it around my unborn child. Felt very creepy. Well, they were all gathered around a table messing with the thing, asking it questions, etc. and they started getting creeped out. I was nearby, but not touching the thing. It started spelling out violent stuff, and the more they creeped out, the more violent it got. I told them, "You guys need to leave that thing alone right now. You don't know what could be messing with you." Then, it started shaking rapidly and shot to the letter D, then, I, then E... then it went to B- I- T - C - H! My friends just froze. There were about 5 or 6 of them with their hands on it, and they all swore none of them had moved it. They weren't the kind of friends who would do something like that as a prank either. They had looks of sheer terror on their faces. Then, I told them, guys I think you're talking to an evil spirit. I said, I'll prove it to you. I thought of something to ask it that no one there but me knew, something I had never told any of them. I asked, "Where's my Dad?" It moved to D-I-E, then C-A-R. My Dad had died in a car accident when I was 6 years old. Noone else in that house knew that, but me. There was absolutely no way they could have spelled that out. Then, I told them... there ya go... now get rid of that thing. It's a portal for evil. It rabidly spelled out D-I-E B-I-T-C-H one more time, and then they got rid of it. I vowed to never have anything to do with those things ever again.

When you use ouji you are opening a portal and AGREEING to open that portal to WHATEVER comes through that portal.Sage and prayer and that kind of thing should not be relied upon to get you out of a situation and agreement and portal opening you willingly took part in. Leave ouji alone. The sale of these "spirit boards" went up 300 Percent since the movie ouji came out. Imagine all those portals opening all over your town. IP: Logged |

Those boards are something I will never touch again. If someone breaks one out to "play" I will leave and go home. I used one once. I didn't have a bad experience with it per say, but it was quite creepy. A friend of mine used to own one, she suggest that we and another friend of ours get together to "play" with it. Knowing the seriousness of those boards, understanding how they work and the fact that there isn't such a thing as having complete control of what you're getting into contact with made me extremely hesitant. I stood my ground for a while but finally caved in and said I'd join them. I did some research on how to enhance protection along with the knowledge I already had. I went out and bought all of the materials I thought necessary. The night had finally come that we were to "play" with this thing. I burned white sage, lit white candles, placed out offerings such as fruit, flowers and water, and formed a giant circle of sea salt around us and the board. The owner of the board and I sat across from each other on the floor. Our friend was the designated transcripter, writing down everything we asked and every answer we got. We started out asking simple, silly questions which were all answered correctly. Now, I'm a skeptic of everything so I insisted that my friend was moving the planchette so I decided to ask questions that only I knew the answers. Eventually, the board stopped answering my friend's questions entirely and would only answer mine. That in itself was creepy. I can't remember all of the questions I asked that only I knew the answers to aside from two. I asked how old my great grandmother was when she passed away, I was the only one who knew that answer and it answered correct. The next question was what my great grandfather's name was. I had never met him but knew of him. He had a very uncommon name, which was Orlando, which the board spelled out. At some point all of the candles began flickering a lot. There were no open windows and the three of us were the only ones there. When it began moved backwards across the numbers we stopped it before it could finish and put the board away, as we had heard that that meant something bad like something trying to get out. About a week later, my home was burglarized in my sleep. The school bag that was stolen amongst other things also had the transcripts in there as well. IP: Logged |

Ok.. What REALLY blows me away is the simple fact that they sell them at Toys-r-us.. I mean.. They sell them at many other places too.. But.. Like.. As far as I am concerned, they are not a "toy" and should not be marketed as such, as far as I am concerned. lmaoIP: Logged |

hippichick!! {{{{ }}}} ... I've missed you. Happy Belated Birthday to you!Lexxi, That was great info! I watched adults get into this at a party my parents had hosted at the house when I was preteen. I recall how 'creepy' it was to watch them, and how powerful that pull was in the room where they played. Seemed sorta like a vortex was drawing them INTO the board. With every moment that went by, the ones with fingers on the planchette were being further entranced. I recall dark browns and blackness inside these walls of that vortex they were tipping into and almost inside of. But they didn't stay long. Seems that every time there was a response by the board, they felt a shock/surprise by information it gave, and the 'shock' would reverse them instantly outside of the funnel/tunnel into the light of the room. Each time they decided to go back in, the more compulsive their behavior got. It was a kind of addictive response, like they needed more, and went further into it each time-- like being hypnotized. Observing the couple, there was a magnetism clear-thing like a hood-shield of sorts that would come (or form) over the two people's heads. This seemed to create an emptied solid clear field where it was like their minds were one clear hollow, together. It was spooky to see the energy of the thing. I don't know what it's called? But reminds me of sense of chi... like the palpable sense of an auric field. That link between the two persons reminds me of the communication hood in old TV Series, Get Smart. The two secret agents would order the 'Cone of Silence' to come down over their heads so they could talk together in privacy. Of course, that was funny as heck to see, because they had to scream at each other in order to hear what the other one was saying!
