It has a vibe (heck, music IS vibration), so yes. OTOH, if someone were to see such an aura, would it be that of the music, or those (including self) getting into it? Or maybe all combined? IP: Logged |

I've always associated certain songs and stuff with colours. I deliberately pick songs on my ipod based on which "colour" I happen to fancy. Sounds a bit strange, but it might be the auras, idk. IP: Logged |

Interesting question...does music have an aura? An aura is typically an energy that is perceived, surrounding an item, either visually or as it is felt, that is beyond the normal range of physical perception, beyond the physical frequency range. Music is a vibration that is typically heard and felt, and so beyond the physical range of perception these same vibrations probably could be seen or smelled as well. I know people who can smell vibrations, for instance smell cancer in your body, or hear organs, for instance hear the vibrational tone of your liver or pancreas. So why not perceive music in ways beyond the normal perception range of hearing and feeling? But it's hard for me to understand where the actual aura of a sound wave would be located, or how it would be perceived. A sound wave isn't tangible, so to speak, so where would you look for the aura? I'm not a scientist, so I would love to hear how the physics of music can be explained an answer to this question. I'm really wondering how you would define the aura of music. Perhaps the overtones?IP: Logged |

Musical Aura- can be evidenced with Instrumental Music than Vocal. All Percussion Instruments! You can sense it in Nature as well. Water Aura-water sounds that will thoroughly relax you... when it makes rythemic splashes, Surf of the ocean, ripples of water, Mystic Waterfalls...all can be evidenced in the Percusiion instrument called Glass Harp..

The two elements water and Light...as seen in Musical dancing Fountains. while you hear the playful bubbling of fountains, A warm beam of sunshine makes a rainbow aura through the cool mist.. Music is vibration..the first step to seeing a musical aura is to sense that vibration..and then step by step you try and develop your auric sight. When you hear your favorite song your aura is strengthened and vice-versa. Lol..hope im making some sense. Very interesting topic...pondering over.IP: Logged |

Yes, I definitely believe music has aura and that it is perceived in differing ways. I just never thought about music in terms of aura before. I guess when you experience anything in totality you are experiencing the aura as this is part of it. The first time I had an aesthetic experience with music was in college. It was impossible for me to describe at the time. I guess I was experiencing it in its totality, the vibration itself plus the aura included. IP: Logged |

The Pythagoreans believed so. They used the planets as musical notes I believe. They were an ancient Greek society, my boyfriend actually got me interested in them. He has been studying them for years and their work with music, astrology, and the heavenly bodies. IP: Logged |

I've interpreted someone's aura as music once. I was walking home after school late at night(it was around 9:30-10pm), there was a guy that was following me but pretending not to follow me. I kept hearing off key crazy piano playing every time I was near him and the further he was, the more quiet the sound became. There was a bridge that I had to cross before entering a plaza where there were trees that blocked the sidewalk from public view, and I literally felt his spirit run through me and grab me by the throat.I kept judging the distance by the sound of the piano playing coming from him and then praying for help. How weird was it that some random guy dressed in all black was checking a water meter when the piano guy and I crossed paths. Idk, weird stuff. IP: Logged |

Cool thread! Yes I believe music or any sound has "color" or aura. I get Synesthesia; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia so maybe everyone does not understand such things as music has aura or even taste or scent; but I get it!

Indeed music has an aura . If seriously interested, I recommend reading The Mysticism of Sound and Music by Hazrat Inayat Khan. ------------------ Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the Mystery, unique and not to be judged.
