How can I protect myself from this person. She sends me e-cards etc., as a way of promoting her business, I think, and I would like to block her, psychically speaking. How could I?

But true psychic attacks, when done effectively, are not done lightly. (However, psyching you out is different, and is psychology rather than occult.)

The best thing you can do overall is live true to yourself. If people can't easily make you feel guilty or afraid then their black magic isn't likely to affect you either. People who practice black magic are generally very weak people who feel powerless, envious, and the like, and thus hunger for revenge and take from others (as opposed to getting for themselves) because that gives them back a sense of power. People who are stronger feel more secure and thus less need for revenge, and while they turn to magic they focus on making their lives better rather than the lives of others worse (sometimes this is called "grey magic" where it's selfish and yet also harmless).

And this is important because to create a spell on another (especially unwillingly as in black magic) one has to call forth power, to invoke or evoke it and then shape it and that means experiencing that energy for themselves. This is why most of them end up destroying themselves fast right there, but there are methods around this so that the energy doesn't affect them first, and yet even then there's a danger for the one working with black magic: If the aura of the person who is targeted is stronger than the energy sent (which is based on the auric strength of the black magician) then it bounces back to the sender with the power of the aura it bounced from added in (and thus Gardner, well versed in the WMT, created the "Threefold Law" to protect many witches in harming themselves by saying you'll get back 3x what you send out, and that fits as if the aura bounces it back then it comes back more than twice as strong at least).

This is why so few people who practice black magic (especially frequently) ever prosper.

And the way to keep your aura healthy and strong is to live a life that minimizes feelings of guilt, imagined fears (if you suspect you're under psychic attack then don't watch horror movies for awhile), have positive contact with people and/or nature, and live fairly healthy (without being uptight about it). This would make your aura far too strong for most people who dabble in black magic to affect it.

By the way, the more successful black magicians know that and will thus try to find ways to undermine your self consciousness and make you believe at some level you deserve punishment or at least are helpless to stop an attack. They also try to make you fear and obsess over them as this also gives them power (so stop it, read or watch something uplifting, talk a walk somewhere nice, be with friends, anything other than obsess that someone you never met may be remotely attacking you as if they couldn't find easier prey elsewhere).

There are also rituals of protection, such as the witches bottle which acts as a lightning rod to draw negative energy projected at you to it instead, and ways to make such magic wane or return. My favorite is use of a poppet, but then my magical orientation back when I practiced was focused in the creative arts, so making a poppet was very effective for me when I once had to dispel dark forces around me. Nothing psychic about them but they tend to be viruses. Even the ones sent by friends may be viruses (which hacked the account and sent itself out to anyone on its contact list without your friend even being aware of it), always check first to make sure they really sent it.

My friends know better than to send me e-cards anyway. The couple times I got one I asked about it and they told me not to open it, they'd been infected and the virus was trying to infect me next.

I had epic success from using a poppet spell once though it was for something different. In that case I wasn't able to have anything of the person so I instead I put in things that symbolized the power over me (I'd have probably included that as well even if I did have personal effects of the other person). Somehow using astrological symbolism (such as drawing it on the poppet) might be worth considering, too.

Thank you. This is very informative. I will most definitely follow the advice of keeping my aura healthy and strong by staying positive and being involved in uplifting, positive things.

The thing is, it appears that some people (perhaps only psychics and astral entities) can tap into your energy field and drain you. This may not involve casting spells and I wonder if they can harm by bad intent alone. I was reading this site and the author seems to think that we are very vulnerable to all sorts of harm from the dark side or 'garbage". Lower astral energies, often disguised as higher beings, will also use psychics to tap into people.
