As I was in a small waiting room today
I noticed a large moth flying around.
He was brown on the outside,
but when he spread his wings,
he was fire-orange on the inside.
He seemed lost, and trapped.

As I considered whether I would have time to catch him and take him outside,
the lift doors opened.
He flew into the lift.
The doors closed.

When I returned from my interview, and entered the lift, he was not there.
Nor flying around the waiting room as before.

Clever moth appeared to have found his own way out.

Thoughts?

They are transformational animals, especially known for finding light in any situation.
Is there similarity with your life? Have you been feeling trapped, looking for ways out of difficult situation? Are you transforming something in your life that will do you good?

Of course - the moth to the flame!
Thank you so much for this insight Twirl.

One of my life-themes has been the transformation of negative into positive.
Achieved by finding the light in the dark.

Yes. I am feeling trapped.
I have not been clear-minded enough to take action.
Perhaps Mr Moth is telling me that time has come.

Twirl, you have no idea how much I appreciate this wisdom you have shared with me!

Glad is has been of help

They are quite beautiful animals.. They also understand the 'unseen' dimension, so can tell you to trust your gut. Be a bit careful to not only navigate on that trust though. Also take actions that are needed.

I was visited by another large moth last night.
I tried to help it get out, but it was too distressed whenever I tried.
So I left the window open for it.

Unfortunately, I found it dead in some foam left in the bath, along with a smaller one.

I'm really sad about this.

Interesting!

This has been The Summer of The Moths for me.

My bedroom is the one furthest in the back of the house, and it has a door to the outside. At the end of my yard, separating mine and my back neighbors house is a bit of woods. Consequently I end up with every manner of bug in my bedroom during the summer months.
This year is has been moths.
I have been finding them in the bottom of my candles, flying out of my closet and out from under my curtains! They are just everywhere. Some of them are quite large and it feels very freaky to have on land on your in your sleep and flap its wings against your skin.

BTW- I am in the most transitional time of my life right now. Leaving one huge stage behind and starting over brand new, so I think this is pretty darn cool.

I would like to add something more on the moth. It's also a symbol of nearing endings which can be quite literal at times. End of a job and/or a certain life phase/people leaving your life. I feel they may come in to tell something will be taken "into the dark/unseen" and/or ask you to take closer attention to your gut/what's going on in your surroundings. This doesn't have to be scary.

I have been flooded with moths for the last months and they seem to want to bring across that that's unseen and feel attracted by intuition and mystery (I read cards professionally so I linked it to that too). Unfortunately there was also a real loss. Moth may be more focussed on that what transforms within us, which makes it different from the butterfly that operates on daylight and a certain outward birth.

Right now the moths seems to have breaded in my kitchen and they dissapeared but there are moth caterpillars everywhere! Caterpillar again relates to a transformation yet it's a work in progress still. So I'm not sure how this plays out just yet, but to me it seems like there was a successful ending and release. New moths may relate to enhanced intuition and/or new levels of understanding.
Just some more thoughts
