Ok.. This is an extremely abstract set of ideas.. But, it's kinda screwing me up.. And, I wanted to write it down somewhere. Somewhere where others may be interested in playing with this idea.. This may seem VERY Matrix like.. But.. It really isn't an attempt to play off that idea. These are thoughts that have just been slowly coming to my mind over these last few days.

Ok..

So..

We all died long ago. What we are experiencing now is an illusion to distract us from what is happening on the true realm of reality. Kind of like a state of limbo in an interdimensional state of being, that is so elaborately set up that we never realized a state of transition.

What we are experiencing now is like a blanket.. A blanket that we are lying under, to stop us from realizing what it is that is really happening to us, on the truest plane of reality. The thing is, on that other plane of reality, we are asleep.. Unconscious. However, there are some who ARE awake.. And, they are feeding off of us in a way.. Feeding off of us, trying to keep things to themselves.

Basically, making this a plane of existence to distract us from the fact that we are actually really all going through a type of hell we can't actually comprehend, because, it would only be comprehensible to us upon waking up/becoming concious in that realm.

Honestly, I feel in ways this actually does somewhat explain what is going on in this plane, in a more metaphorical sense, possibly.

But.. There is just this foreboding that all of this is just a distraction. That, we don't know that really, we are about to wake up in/to suffering in another realm. Being torn apart, energetically.

Lol.. This may sound crazy.. But.. Dang. What if we are all just being enslaved through interdimensional manipulation brought on by some other beings..

I'm not really all that into conspiracy, usually.. And, I'm almost unsure of where these thoughts are even coming from. But.. The concept kinda just blew my mind.

I partly have come up with this concept based off certain experiences I believed I've had that were possibly in the lower astral realms..

You're not the first.

Check out what Philip K. Dick had to say (it's worth listening through to the end):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXeVgEs4sOo

And more ancient sources talk on that as well, which you can read about in The Gnostic Religion by J. Jonas who tells of how Archons (claiming to be gods or celestial servants of those gods, giving "laws" contrary to Creation, and permeating the Monotheistic religions, but also Hinduism and others) oppose the exodus of souls to higher planes, seeking to keep us ignorant and entangled in the lies they weave for us, for they cannot live without us. (Could Archons be the Men In Black?) Our souls are "the dew from Above" that gives them the strength to exist.

I wish I could recall which book it is by Charles Fort on the strange it was, but I can't, but he made the observation that it appeared there was a supernatural force or forces that saw and treated humanity like cattle and were careful to nurture certain beliefs while preventing us from figuring out what was going on. And they took a special interest in those who "peeked behind the curtain."

Robert Monroe is well known for his OOBE books, and he has encountered Archonic entities, which he calls "intelligence forces":

The same impersonal probing, the same power, from the same angle. However, this time I received the impression that I was inextricably bound by loyalty to this intelligence force, always had been, and that I had a job to perform here on earth. The job was not necessarily to my liking, but I was assigned to it. The impression was that I was manning a 'pumping station', that it was dirty, ordinary job but it was mine and I was stuck with it, and nothing, absolutely nothing could alter the situation...I got the impression of huge pipes, so ancient they were covered with undergrowth and rust. Something like oil was passing through them, but it was much higher in energy than oil, and vitally needed and valuable elsewhere (assumption: not on this material planet). This has been going on for eons of time, and there were other force groups here, taking out the same material on some highly competitive basis, and the material was converted at some distant point or civilization for something very valuable to entities far above my ability to understand...

Again, there was the feeling of being the pumping station attendant, the approach of the entity down the beam....the search of my mind...I mentally (orally also?) asked who they were, and received an answer that I could not begin to translate or understand. Then I felt them beginning to leave, and I asked for some indication that they had been there, but was rewarded only with paternal amusement. Then they seemed to soar into the sky, while I was calling after them, pleading. Then I was sure that their mentality and intelligence were far beyond my understanding. It is impersonal, cold intelligence, with none of the emotions of love or compassion which we respect so much, yet this may be the omnipotence we call God. Visits such as these in mankind's past could well have been the basis for religious beliefs, and our knowledge today could provide no better answers than we could a thousand years past. By this time, it was getting light, and I sat down and cried, great deep sobs as I have never cried before, because I knew without any qualification or future hope of change that the God of my childhood, of the churches,of religion throughout the world was not as we worshipped him to be--and for the rest of my life I would suffer the loss of this illusion.

--Robert Monroe Journeys Out of the Body

I can add more still. Basically, The Matrix could be a good scifi metaphor for our spiritual reality so that we're not the children of God(s) who loves us but the cattle of God(s) who loves the taste of us.

And speaking of which, it also shows up in fiction (which goes back to what PKD said in the YT vid I linked to above in the previous post). For example, the Dustmen from Planescape (a novel and game series that deals heavily with philosophy and the true nature of reality--whatever it may be--from a medieval fantasy perspective):
http://mimir.net/psmush/thedead.shtml

quote:
"Look around. The multiverse is pain, suffering, cruelty. This isn't life. Life is supposed to be happy, feel good, and make sense. No, this world is a cruel shadow of a "life". Faded images, hints at the glory that's supposed to be, but isn't. The truth?

"We're all dead. We've all passed on from our original existences, and we can't quite seem to help clinging to a false "Life"... that is, we can't accept the fact that we're dead. Emotions cloud our minds and confuse us, preventing us to see that in order to become one with our states and Truly Dead we must seperate ourselves in every way from our false emotions and bodies. We must stop clinging to life and accept the fact that we are truly Dead. When this happens, we shall have reached True Death and finally ended this horrible existance. If you just up and kill yourself before you've truly detached yourself from your emotions, then you'll come back again, and again, and again, still clinging to your false life.

"We are The Dead. They call us the Dustmen. But we seek perfection like everyone else. The perfection and clarity of the dead, away from the hassles and emotions of your hollow 'life.'"

Heh, I loved this from a linked site:

quote:
"If everyone is dead then why don't I remember dying?"
- A clueless sod to a Dustman

"If we're all alive then why don't I remember being born?"
- The Dustman's response

And then, Captain Janeway...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghSq2qlwrs0

And this is just what occurs to me right away.

It's too early for me to think seriously about this at the moment, I'm just throwing some things out there for now. I'll come back to this later when I'm more awake.

Yeah.. I get where you are coming from in the first post.. However, those examples aren't exactly what I am trying to say. I'm not really entirely sure just HOW to word it. xD..

I'll have to check out that video/audio..

I agree

I haven't read that book, but the description you made seems pretty fitting for me.

Lately, I've stopped checking current aspects, cards, ect so I cannot be influenced by anything, at least for a while.

Something that I could... add... to your thoughts, is that such "matrix" seems to be related to a number. How weird ( ??? ) and it is not a matter of coincidence or product of some psychiatric definition ( nor the influence of pot, weed or marijuana :/ lol )
I could make a list of at least... 31 (single word) examples? So you can know this goes beyond skeptic misconceptions and 'coincedences'. Hmm, I think so, but not today and not in UC of course.

So, here's a little hint for you...
According to the chaldean numerology system used by Ms Linda in Star Signs, we have the following numeric values for this word.

R E T R O V I R U S
2 5 4 2 7 6 1 2 6 3

Raw sum of these numeric values is 38
38 and 47, both have the same vibration as number 29, hence, the same interpretation. 'Grace under pressure', according to Star Signs...

Ok,
Good thread !
Until next time ...

Interesting for me to see this thread today. The exact same thought came to me today while I was contemplating the disappearance of two diary entries I made when I was 15. They were each right after the other and on side by side pages. I even remebered that one was in green ink and one was in red ink. One day, 7 years later, I wanted to read those entries again, so I searched through my diary only to find that they weren't there. I leafed through the book three times, very slowly, and nothing. There was absolutely no evidence of any pages having been torn or cut out, no fragments of other entries. The vanished entries were dreams I had about another planet. There was destruction happening on the planet in both dreams and I am 100% sure I had both dreams and wrote them down in that diary. It was my only diary and I had told a friend about the dreams the following days. We were working on a story about the lost planets and I told her they were destroyed as I saw in my dreams.

So why and how are they gone? I don't know. The experience is reminiscent of what happens in movies when a person is provided with false memories, but their fate changes in a certain aspect and any evidence of the experiences that are associated with that aspect stop making sense or disappears.
