Hi everybody! I am sorry that I left a wrong message some minuts ago. I live with no computer and I did a mistake throught my phone because I thought I didn't remember my password.

I am very happy this place exist and I am so gratefull about your amazing answers to all the other things I asked! It helped a lot!

I am re-reading ' stars signs' ( because before I did the ' forbiden thing' I jumped chapter to chapter because I couldnt wait eheh) but now I am reading it carefully and I am determened to put everything into practise.

I have a question about the financial security and carrer advice first chapter.

I am studing, and I can't do what I love yet because I need to study it first.
So I live with very very little money, which I get with a weekends job ( which I dont love but its not so bad because the bosses are very nice piscis people)

So the money I get I use it all to pay my studies and food and thats it.

My question is , when should you start giving half of your money?

When you are in your dream job and you have more money than you need, or just right now whatever you do and whatever among of money you have?

Linda say its about the money circulating, and it doesnt make diference to the universe wheather you spend it on things you need or you give it, as long as you don't save it or keep it.

The other day I gave 20 euros to a homeless, and it was so cool because he was so shocked and happy but, then I wondered if I was helping him at all, because if he spends it on drugs then I am contributing to something which will harm him more. A friend told me this is bad karma for me.. ehe...

So anyway, what should I do in my situation?

Give it to friends and people on the street, or just spend it with things I need?

If I should give it to stramgers I will, because that book really feels like truth to me, but I am a bit afraid of it because if it doesnt work I wont be able to pay my studies.

It seems like a silly question , but even if I read again the chapter one, I cant find the answer to that there.

Thank you so much im advance to take time to read that, greetings from Spain.

You only should give half of what's left AFTER your bills and expenses. I'd give it away to either strangers or charities. Release it to do good.

That's a great book, but read it in order.

Yes thats why I am re-reading the whole book. Because I realized I missed a lot. I am reading in order now.
Thanks for the advice Randall. I guess as Linda at some part of the first chapter says that she gave a 20 dollr bill to a homeless and she says that the best way for him to be sure he will get more is giving half of it, I got confused.

He probably only needs a day-by-day sustenance, such as a good meal. By giving half, more will return.

I think to see it as an ironclad rule is missing the point. People who obsess over wealth find themselves in a cage, and a cage of gold is still a cage. It also detracts from what can truly make us happy, which lots of money rarely can, including spiritual matters and the ability to connect with others.

Furthermore, if you can't finish your studies or take care of yourself then you are making yourself a burden upon others as well as ruining your own ability to do much to help others, at least money wise.

As for giving money to the homeless adding to your bad karma. Silly! I dare say it's an excuse to not do so. The only way it could is if you bought the drugs for them, otherwise the decision is theirs. If I was going to worry about the karmic debt of money I gave then I'd be much more concerned with the taxes I pay than the charity.

That said, VET ANY CHARITY (start here ). That is, make sure they're both competent and ethical. There are many bad people who take advantage of people like you while exploiting (and even abusing) the needy that your money is supposed to help. If they use unethical ways to get you to give then they're probably unethical in other ways as well. And then make sure that the charity wanting your money is who they claim to be, especially online. Just because someone claims to be with Save the Children (and may even have cards or fliers) doesn't mean they actually are.

And I can tell you from experience that some--not all--homeless people will also take advantage of you as well, and have no respect for you. That said, don't mistake the homeless for having phones as proof that they have money. Here in the USA they can be gotten cheap or for free for the poor (and plenty of homeless people are newly so), and are necessary to make their lives better. Social services, potential employers, and the like require that you have a phone, so the homeless that refuse to get one are seen by those who actually help them as not interested in bettering their life so that the homeless who keep a phone are more likely to be helped.

My advice is if you want to aid the homeless and those hovering all too close to homelessness, then find a food bank or shelter or soup kitchen that you can trust and provide resources. It doesn't have to be money, in fact it can save them some trouble (at least here on the USA, most money comes from grants anyway) as otherwise they have to get these things for themselves. Diapers are extremely expensive, so providing these for mothers who can't afford them is a godsend when fresh diapers are given. Toiletries (from soap to toilet paper) are also greatly in demand, both by the poor and those who aid the poor with shelter. Coffee and paper towels are also greatly desired. Though to really connect, and also to help ensure the people are being helped, it's best to volunteer your time...and in which case, you could see paying yourself to do so (such as gas expenses) as counting for this.
