Hi all, I'm trying to understand what is this that I'm experiencing since about three years. I've never really believed in psychic phenomenons, even though I use to have premonitory dreams since I was born, but I usually try to rationalise these things as much as I can.
Now, imagine to be a writer who starts writing a novel, a long engaging sci-fi thriller saga which is supposed to become your most important work. You start dedicating yourself and focusing so much in the writing, spending most of your time into it, that you end up to live inside the world you have created in the novel... There is someone you know, not so well on a personal level, but a real person, who has inspired the leading character of your novel... while writing about this character, you imagine this person like an actor in a movie you're watching in your head... you start loving this person more and more and you love your novel character as well and you keep on writing the novel as if you're actually there, together with him, and you can't wait for those moments you will be there with him inside the novel.
In the reality, this person doesn't know that he has inspired your novel character, neither that you're writing the novel.
At one point, you realize that the events you have written in your novel start to actually happen in this person's life, exactly as you had imagined and written down... This person also starts writing on facebook and instagram same exact sentences your character says in your novel. Also, other characters of the novel start showing up in the real person's real life... At one point, things happening to you start to happen to this person at the same time, for instance, you happen to see a huge bird flock flying above your car on the highway, and just few minutes later this person posts a video of a similar bird flock, while he's far away in another country.
Then imagine that one night you happen to walk through a peaceful alley of a big foreign town and you see this person through the window of an house. You recognize the house because he had posted a picture of that house on instagram the day before, but you didn't have a clue of where in the world that house was placed, nor that you would ever meet him in that foreign town...
Ultimately, you find out that his second name is the name you had given to your novel character, and you didn't have a clue. And suddenly realize that your name and his name initials form his name.
I've heard lots of weird stories about writers having synchronicities and telepathic experiences whilst writing a book, but I never experienced such big ones before.
Since this all has started, I'm a little scared but intrigued, initially I have questioned my mental sanity, but all the things I've described have evidence from my writing files with dates and his public posts with dates, so at least this tells me I'm not completely insane... but how can I ever explain it? is it the power of creative mind? Is it synchronicity? Or am I deeply connected to this person's mind... and why? Are we soulmates...? IP: Logged |
