I've encountered random cats cross my path before, most of the time there doing something unrelated to me.

If there comfortable with me they'll come to me meow and let me pet them then off they go...

This encounter just has me scratching my head a bit. It's late and I'm studing for an upcomming certification exam and I'm a little hungry.

So I decided to go for a little snack, the only thing open at 2am is the drive through McDonalds.

On my way back as I turned the corner to head back to my unit there's this black cat staring and waiting for me.

It's as if he knew I was comming that way and he knew I whould have food with me, which I did having just been throught the McDonalds drive throught.

So I took out one of the burgers from my McDoubles aka "poor mans big mack", removed any cheese or anything harmfull and gave it to the cat.

As he ate I was thinking if I should bring him inside to somewhere warm or not,...exactly at the moment were I made a decesion he ran off.

Is this just a strange coincidence or there some deeper meaning in this??

I think it was just a chance to help a hungry animal.

I'd say you've just paid off a karmic debt. I wonder who the cat was in your former life.

A black cat befriended me and my partner a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure he was dying, had weeping lumps on his stomach and no front teeth. We fed him and gave him affection and heat. We were in the process of getting a cat carrier to take him to the vet when he just disappeared and never came back after a few visits. I like to think that he died knowing he was loved. We were going to adopt him. In retrospect, it felt like we were equalising something, paying off a debt, and with that paid, he was able to pass on.
