What scares me, is the irradiated food that is or could possibly be sold, at school lunch rooms.School lunch by far is more unhealthy than it has ever been. People at my school eat burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, salad with pounds of dressing, snacks, sweet drinks, and pizza. There used to be a healthy soup bar, but they removed it because no one was buying it. If you want them to make a healthy sandwich for you it's like $5 out of your pocket everyday. It's hard to make a school lunch because most kids never have any time. Everything is busy busy busy! All they care about is money and that's why they sell these unhealthy foods that are poisoning us in the long term.  There are snacks of every kind. Sweet drinks and candy bars are predominant. Makes me think "the powers that be" want to kill us off one by one. -StarLover IP: Logged |

Sorry to tell you StarLover......
There was a federal mandate to irradiate all meat going to schools...I think it passed sometime in the Bush 2 Reign.The Meatrix was fantastic!! BTW....not that I expect anyone to be overjoyed at what I am going to say, but its one of my pet projects... A) Fast food restaurants have higher standards on meat quality than the federal govt. mandates for school cafeterias. Now thats frightening. B) Thanks to the relaxing of USDA standards
(see Bush again) meat packaging plants are not required to sound an alert if meat is contaminated. They take a "wait and see if anyone gets sick" approach. C) Anytime you read about a meat recall...say they recalled 1 million lbs of tainted meat. Multiply that by 300%. Now you have the accurate amount. Thats a quote from a former USDA inspector. Sorry if I grossed anyone out. I beg you all...read "Fast Food Nation" Get your classes to read it, if you are still in school.......this book is like a modern "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. Its fantastic. Besides the rotting away of economic and heath principles, the way our foods are grown and processed now has no touch of the Earth from which it comes. There is no passing on of the healthful energy which is what sustains us. Being that most ppl look at me crosseyed when I talk these things, I figure this site is a good forum for it. Maybe thats why we have soooooo many health issues facing the majority of the US population. Everyone eats and eats and eats
(US obesity levels hitting 60% of populace)

OMIGOD!! What the hell have I been eating? How could they do this to us? Why are they trying to kill us? I've been eating that meat for two years and so have my peers. This is horrible!This means that I can no longer touch the meat in school. Even when I look at it, it's irregular. This is awful. -StarLover IP: Logged |
