Does anyone know much about Betta fish? My fishy is not himself. I called the pet store and was told I needed to buy something called "Betta Max" to fix a possible virus. I then asked how late they were open till, and they were closing. He's just sort of sitting there at the bottom of the tank, kinda sideways . He's not eating. I changed the water too. Has anyone else experienced this? I hate seeing him like this.

I don't have one now, but I did when I was younger. I don't remember behaviour like this, though. I hope these links help and that your fish friend feels better soon.

Oxy,

Is it very cold where you live right now? Is his water cold? They like warm water, not cold. (not too warm, of course)
Do you put drops in the water to take out the chlorine? I use AmQuel and NovAqua.
My betta fish does that sometimes....however, when I am near he swims to the top.

Please keep us posted on the little guy!

Aw thanks everyone. It's ok, he had a good life. I just have a VERY weak stomach when it comes to those things.
