I was looking around the web and found this site. For the most part, the things I've seen on it are just dumb or weird ... a few are interesting or funny. Then I came across this: http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=sportka.wmv
(Just click where it says "click here to start your download" and a new page will open up with windows media player.)
I'm not that upset at the website for showing it. I am very much upset at the people who made this commercial. It's awful. Anyone with a weak heart or who is a cat lover, I urge you to NOT watch this video. Is this really Ford?

Actually, I sometimes have a twisted sense of humor and yet I failed to see the point in that, the humor in it, whatever. Mean for mean's sake I suppose...

Maybe they're marketing the car to dog lovers/cat haters? ???

Uhmmmmm.........after Tink's response, I'm not going to click on the link and go there. I'm broken hearted enough over the slaughter of all the seals this week in Canada.

Yes, Isis, my sense of humor can be a little strange at times also ... but this I did not find amusing at all either.

I have no idea, Tink. This is just horrendous. Is anyone familiar with this company ... I'm assuming it's Ford in the UK ... do they have a website or some other way I can send them an outraged comment?

That poor animal. I'm not a computer expert or anything, but it looked pretty darn real to me. I can't describe how bad it makes me feel to think that this counts as witty or humorous advertising to some sick-minded person(s) out there.

Nephthys, you're probably better off not having seen it.

This is all I could find on the matter: http://www.snopes.com/photos/commercials/sportka.asp
BTW, I still find the pigeon thing offensive ... maybe I'm overly sensitive, I don't know.

I don`t indulge ebaumsworld. It`s too out there for me

I was thrown for a loop when a unsavory pic of a kitten showed up on one of my threads that had, unfortunately, turned into a political debate. I e mailed Peta and they confirmed it was a doctored pic as many of their pics are.

So, it`s at your own risk you view ebaum. I won`t!
