I have just come across something called CedarCide. It is a nonchemical treatment for Animals, people, houeshold, and gardens. It repels fleas, Lice, mange mites, flies, mesquitos. I have been told it repels spiders and can be poured on fire ant hills. It is Cedar Oil 1%
Essense of Juniperus Virginiana 99%
Made by
CedarCide Industries,inc
800-842-1464
po box 549 Sprin TX 77383 www.cedarcide.com
I am currently trying it
It smells good like the cedar cabin I used to visit at x-mass at mnt raineer.
You just spray it on You, Your pet, Your house.

Do you guys think it will safely work on guinea pigs too? I just found out Ansarath has lice. I was scratching his little back and I saw all these little nasties.

I thought that cedar wasn't good for guinea pigs, I'm not sure though.

Well They did not reply to email so I called them. They assured me it was safe for guenia pigs. They did say that cedar in large doses was not great for them but that this product was safe.

Lovely Libra, did you find it to be 100% effective?

Fairystar, did you try it ? If so, the results?

Asking because I would put it in the chicken coop if it worked.

Actually I would make it myself but wanted input before I went to the effort.

Thanks, juniperb

Sorry guys I got a full time job and am still doing 12hr semesters at school while jugling crop walk( a charity) Choir and sunday school classes and ushering. Oh yes don't forget the kids, laundry, dishes, omg I forgot what personal time was!!! As to the efectiveness. If you keep applying it weekly it does good. They say it works on flying bugs too but it just chases the nats from room to room( youngest daughter put a banana peel under her bed )although I havent seen any moths or spiders recently. It is pretty cheap so if it doesn't work for you you wont be out much. I miss my chickens Oh well once I get my debts paid I will get a house ( and be in debt again...dang!!) and then I can have chickens again, maybee mohair goats and sheep too.( I spin too... time alowing lol)
I am definantly recovered from the divorce thing and back to my old enerjetic self.( Hey I do get a break once in a while right? I mean I distinctly remember sining up for some breaks Oh hey come to think of it mesquitos leave me alone too. Bonus!
