My kitty cat, Belle, has been "spraying" that unpleasant cat smell all over in different places of the house. She has always sprayed sometimes, but recently, it's happening more often and I'm confused...What could be causing her to do this? I've never found anyone who knew why kitties did this or how to stop it.

Help!

VAA, has kitty gotten wind that you`re leaving? Is the household on edge for any reason? Girl kitties are really sensitive to the vibrations.

Lots of hugging & cuddling may assure her of her place.

I`ve unsure if a females spraying is an indication of a health issue. I have only found them to do so out of fear/upsets.Call the vet to be on the safe side.

Even with a female, it can be a urinary tract infection. Get her checked ASAP.

Otherwise, it is probably an emotional problem of some sort, she is upset about something. Or, she finds her litter box distasteful for some reason...be sure it's very clean.

for you both.
