Drink up, it'll put fur on your chest: It's time for 3-month-old Lingga's morning feeding at the Ragunan Zoo in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Doesn't it make you wonder how ANYONE can claim animals have no soul? I mean, who's the authority on that? Just look at those eyes!

My Mother in law is a born again Christian... she is very naive about alot of things... she has always had pets and adores her dog. She was trying to 'convert me' and mentioned that about animals. I was so turned off by that very mention. I asked her how she could love her dog completely and unerringly, spend her days with him, know him and love him, without knowing he has a soul. It is something you don't question.. the devotion and special love you get from animals in your life. Are his eyes vacant? Does he not feel pain? Ack! I just don't understand. ( Sorry to rant.)

Pixie,

I agree. I also cannot understand how people who love animals can eat them.

I have a shirt that reads;

"If you love animals called pets, why do you eat animals called dinner?"

I was very offended by my current issue of the AAA magazine. (I only get it because I have AAA insurance). In it, is a picture of some gorillas, and some guy wrote in and complained that how can they refer to gorillas as having a family and freinds, and that it is anthropomorphic. Animals DO have families and social lives!
