Does anybody know anything about crows? I find them fascinating, and hilarious at the same time. I live in a court (like a cul-de-sac), and they walk around like they rule the place. They walk around, with their funny stance, chests sticking out, and heads bopping. They are the first ones to come and snag the bird seed. My dog watches them from my bedroom window and barks at them, as if they're doing something wrong or shouldn't be there.
I'd sure be interested to learn more about them.

Oh my, crows . They are braggarts and do swagger around and screech just to be heard.

They are loud mouths and will steal you blind.Leave a shiney anything out and see how quick a crow will pilfer it They squabble like a bunch of kids but get their butts kicked by the smallest finchs.

All talk and no go I say

We`re farm country and crows do a lot of damage to the crops and are an unwanted bird to have in flocks.

Sadly, it is the crow carrying the West Nile Virus in MI and are being decimated by fear.

How do they do in a more populated setting? Have you had any W.N.V. show up there?

Here we have to be careful of mosquitos for the west nile virus, and any water in ponds.

Yes!! The skeeters then bite the crows, infect them and the W.N.V. kills the bird
Also here they`ve discovered the blue jays carry it as well. If we find a dead crow or jay, we turn it in to the health dept for study.

Hi Nephthys,

Check THIS out.

Crows animal totem meaning:

Guardian of the place before existence, Ability to move in space and time, Honouring ancestors, Carrier of souls from darkness into light, Working without fear in darkness, Guidance while working in shadow, Moves freely in the void, Understands all things related to ethics, Shapeshifter

Crows are very vocal birds. They are sly and often deceptive in their actions. Crows have been known to build false nests high in treetops to confuse predators. The height of their nests give them the opportunity to watch everything that is going on around them. Many cultures think of crow as the keeper of knowledge for nothing escapes their keen sight.

Crows travel in groups and make mischief in teams. As one crow explores something new, others will watch closely to see what happens and then learn from it. In this way they seem to always be in council with each other. They often raise a ruckus when hunters are around, warning deer and other birds. Crows recognize possible danger and always post lookouts when feeding---thier most vulnerable time.

Their language is complex and they have a remarkable voice range. Each caw has its own meaning. Sometimes crow warns of impending danger. Other times it signals a time to join in council and make decisions. Listening to crow can teach those with this medicine how to hear the truth of what is being said.

The striking black color of crow represents the color of creation. It is the womb out of which the new is born. Black the color of night gives birth to the light of a new day. Crow is a daytime bird reminding us that magic and creation are present in both. Their ability to shift between the known and unknown world indicates new journeys.

Because crow is adaptable to all environments and will eat almost anything they can survive in almost any situation. Crow is associated with magic, unseen forces and spiritual strength. If crow flies into your life, get out of your familiar nest, look beyond your present range of vision, listen to its caw and act accordingly.

I recently had Rabbits coming to me in dreams and waking life and through synchronisities. So I did a little research and found info on animals bringing messages into peoples lives. I found it fascinating. Hope you enjoyed this too.

26T,

That was *awesome* information. I loved it. Thanks for your research!

They are such funny creatures.

Juni,

That's a good idea, next time I find a dead bird I'll turn it in too. (How do I get in touch with my Health dept?)

On Animal Planet, they were praising crows for their intelligence. They drop hard-shelled nuts on the street and use our cars to crack them open.

OMG Randall!!!!!!!!

I saw that too, about a year ago!!!!! That was such a good show!!!!! & they even knew about waiting for the light to turn green, for the cars to run them over and crack the shell, and then wait for it to turn red, so it's safe to go in the crosswalk!!!!

Gosh, animals are just so smart!
