I have a question about dog and cat allergies. I've been allergic to cats for a couple of years now, but never really detected an allergy to dogs. But this past weekend, I was over a friend's house who has a black lab. And when he was around, I began sneezing and my eyes got that really irritating allergy itchiness. The weird thing is that I've been to her house and around the dog many times before, and nothing really happened. So, is it likely that people that are allergic to cats can also develop one to dogs? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I don't know a lot about allergies .IP: Logged |

I would say not likely. Perhaps it is a flea powder or something like that.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

I have no idea, but I think we can develope allergies as we age. The reason I say that, is because I never had allergies before in my life, and the past 3 years I get allergies in the seasons. IP: Logged |
