I agree with that quote. I love this one too;

"Living with animals can be a wonderful experience, especially if we choose to learn the valuable lessons animals teach through their natural enthusiasm, grace, resourcefulness, affection and forgiveness." - Richard H. Pitcairn, American Veterinarian, Pet Nutritionist and Author

This one isn't a beautiful quote, but it's one that I believe in ~

"Your pet needs you to be an education warrior -- find out everything
you can, contact all the experts, and make the most informed decision
possible. Once you find a balanced blend of supportive, tonic, natural
therapies and decide the extent to which you will use conventional
treatments, sit back and get ready for the ride...Most people are
gratified when they have numerous options and a balanced team to help
them through the process." ~ Susan G. Wynn DVM, AHG

Totally Teaselbaby. How are you? Good to see you hon

I just found this one about domestic pets, something I also believe in in regards to cruelty;

"I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must that we will be kind and take care of their needs... [they] are an obligation put on us, a responsibility we have no right to neglect, nor to violate by cruelty." - James Herriot, English Veterinarian and Author

Great quotes! I loved the first one!

It often happens that a man is more humanely related to a cat or dog than to any human being. ~Henry David Thoreau

If all the beasts were gone, men would die from a great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to the man. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons of the Earth. ~Chief Seattle of the Suwamish Tribe, letter to President Franklin Pierce

An animal's eye have the power to speak a great language. - Martin Buber

Oops forgot to mention where I got it from. I once had a blog and well I wrote about animal cruelty. And a girl made a comment and then gave me the quote. That was about 3 years ago. Still in my head.

I know what you mean thirteen. I dont have a dog, but will someday. I've always wanted one. But I once lived with a dog (roomates) that became like my own. I loved that little guy so much.

This is a cool thread. Here in Denver, there is a shelter by the name of, ' The Denver Dumb Friends League '. I have always hated that name. I have seen bumper stickers on some of the local's car's that read....

' Animals are kind to Dumb people '
.... so fitting!! I love it.
