sometimes its almost too hard to watch.
im not sure that this show has ever failed to bring me to tears.
last night an episode was on that featured some of the most memorable recoveries. i dont think ive ever been so affected by anything before.

I watch it. It's hard sometimes.

I can recall once when I was about 19. I would go with a couple of friends to see car races late at night by Hunts Point in the Bronx where you only see ware houses.

My friend showed me a dog that they had in a ware house that had a big tumour hanging from its face.

I felt so bad.

3 years later. I'm watching Animal precint and there they are with reports from someone about the dog not being treated.

They went over there and I saw the same exat dog on tv!

and his owner!

They made him take it to the vet now it's tumour free

Someone called in about it.

I used to watch it religiously, but now I watched it only occasionally, because it seems every time I turn it on it's a repeat!

It's cool they have Animal Cops in S.F. now...........which is near me.

You know, it's so sad, how many animals are neglected, mistreated, and injured or sick. Just watched last night this poor lab had problems with both legs; it seemed she had gotten hit by a car and her legs healed incorrectly, but she was obviously still in pain. Also, she was blind in one eye. The poor thing was so sweet but they decided to euthanize her because they said it wouldn't be much of a life to be so crippled, in pain, and blind.

i saw an episode tuesday night that made me an emotional wreck. someone in housten chained their dog to a fence. using muliple chains and wires. he was probably there about 8 weeks at least. he had absolutly no slack in the chains, and couldnt even move out of his own excrement. the chains were so far embedded into its neck, that they were touching his spine, and the poor this was in an extreme amount of pain.
well, they got him to safety. treated him and in the end had to put him down anyways, becasue he had food aggression. when they tested him, he bit the plastic hand that was trying to take his food.
and thats what kills me. this dog had a great temperment. very sweet, even when in extreme discomfort. the fact that he was starved. and chained to a fence made him the way he was. he wasnt born that way. people made him that way. its just....it just makes me so angry.
