Things have gone from bad to worse for wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies.

Today, the Bush/Cheney Administration is stripping these amazing animals of vital federal protections,

officially opening the door to the shooting, trapping, and killing of up to 1,200 wolves.

Under existing state management plans - plans approved by the Bush Administration

all but 300 hundred wolves could be killed. That’s 80% of the wild wolves in Greater Yellowstone

and the Northern Rockies!

Idaho officials want to use aerial gunning to kill wolves in their state.

Wyoming agencies have left the door open to the use of traps and poison to eliminate wolves.

And officials in both states and Montana have proposed wolf hunts.

how sick are these people???

is killng an entire nation of children not enough for them??

does their bloodlust and blackheartedness really run this deep and evil???

how can human animals be so damaged and demented???

how did such pure evil infiltrate this country so insidiously???

they are seriously ill...and so is anyone who kills these exquisite creatures.

Meat eating races have always been warlike and aggressive, all through history, whereas non-meat eating races have been passive and peaceful. As for hunting, I rarely enter into discussions with hunters, being an Aries. Too many mars fireworks might explode. The excuse many hunters give to justify murdering wildlife is that they are “clearing out the excess population – otherwise there wouldn’t be enough food, and the animals die anyway” makes me feel that their thought patterns are only a fraction removed from finding murder a likewise “practical and humane” way to “clear out” overpopulated areas of China and India and America’s slums. In a worldwide sense, mankind (and here the chauvinistic term is appropriate) has always found war to be an “ideal” solution to “clear out” population. Nature herself is fully capable of solving her own problems, without man’s “helpfulness,” comprised of murder and killing.

The aerial hunting of wolves is not even a sport because it does not give the animals any chance whatsoever. It is cruel and inhumane.

Once again, in spite of all the petitions and letters sent to this administration asking for this barbaric practice to be stopped, the Bush administration has thumbed it's nose at what the american people want in favor of those states who bring in revenue from hunting businesses that fly people over wolves to shoot them from the air. It's all about business at usual and once again at the expense of the environment.

I will be so happy when November comes around and Bush and Cheney are both sent packing. Then maybe all of the damage they have done to the environment and animals and the country in general can slowly be changed and things restored to some balance.
