My friend and his wife went in holidays so I keep their lovely Dalmatian. He's a sweetheart. Beautiful, and really loving. Him and I is a real love story  Everytime I go to their place he's the happiest dog in town, he jumps everywhere and bark to tell me how happy he is to see me. I cuddle him a lot and we go for walk when I arrive at their place, just him and I. I have him in my house since tuesday and I give good food, we cuddle like two lovers and go for walks. Yesterday we went to a lake and he loved it. Then we had a barbecue by the river with another friend of mine and he had fun in the river and ate plenty of sausages. He's a king. But tonight he's unhappy. I'm feeling guilt. He was in my garden and played or courted more exactly, the female Labrador of my neighboors who was in their garden. At some point they took the Labrador in. But Tao, my friend's dog, was still looking for her. So at some point I asked him to come back in. He kind of let me know he didn't want to go in by first sitting. Then, when I insisted, he lyied on the grass. So I pretended to open the gate to get him up and as soon as he was ready to go on the street, he took him inside. He's been fooled and forced to go inside. But I didn't want to let him longer because it was dark and getting cold. Anyway, now he's downstairs and doesn't want to come up when I call him. Usually he's around immediately asking for some cuddles. He ignores me. He's a cancer moon opposing his cap sun. I feel like I upseted him but I'm not sure how to be listened to. IP: Logged |

Awwww pire, so sweet of you to be so concerned. Tao sounds adorable.I try Dee's approach when i'm out too but it makes my maltese more anxious and she goes nuts trying to "find" me. So that doesnt work for me. Another approach that might work is you going to where he's at and staying there, occassionally patting his head or running your palm over his coat. That's bring about the forgiving sooner IP: Logged |

Pire, Dalmatians are known for being quite emotional dogs. I used to babysit for some kids when I was younger, the family had one. But I used to spend the majority of the night in the dalmatian's basket because he would pine until they came home again. They said it's a breed characteristic.Tao sounds cool! IP: Logged |
