awwwww

Yeah, it could work if i found a calmer, more laidback one I think. A more energetic one might accidentally hurt her without meaning to just by playing around. I used to live with one and it was the most good natured friendly dog i've known. I also think they are a most handsome looking breed.

I can't have any "bully breeds" where I'm living right now. Makes me so angry - the discriminatory laws. There are so many that need homes but will just end up dying. So someday when I own a house I will get one or two....or five. lol

Saw this awhile back:
does not get much cuter than this--

Pitbull VS. Kitten (Lukah & Dexter) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwC5_3k49nk

They're twins! They even yawned at the same time. LOL

and I tried very hard to find a decent place to rent that would allow one. No luck because landlords want to protect themselves.

Tooo cute! And I agree with one of the youtube posters. There are no bad dogs, just bad people!

You had me LMFAO at the last vid though. The way the music stops and the look on the cat's face is priceless!

Check out Sharky the Pitbull too. Friendliest boy ever! I wonder if you can tell how calm and gentle a doggie would be through it's astrological chart. I think a Libra pit would be pretty sweet!

My doggie is a Gem Sun & Merc, Pisces Moon, and Venus/Mars in Taurus. She plays ROUGH! Constantly messes with my brothers out of boredom. She walks up to them, nibbles them hard to get them to react, then runs away and barks hahah. I'm assuming she's saying, "Come get me sucka, I wanna play!" LOL

Here's a recent vid of her. You can see my brother quickly pushing her with his feet when he walks by, but she was too distracted by her chew toy I'm holding. >=) If she wasn't she'd run after him and try to tackle him to the ground lmao. As you can see, she's very possessive of her belongings. ♥ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZubCh2rN208&

Damnnn you got skills! So many amazing artists on LL

I can see why so many love the 2nd Pitbull pic. It seems like something you threw together casually in 2 minutes but came out so beautifully!

My 1st employer was a water color painter too. I tried to learn a long time ago but it seemed I always used too much water and it would run off the paper and make a mess.

Oh, and YES she does. No toy lasts very long for her. She also likes to bark at inanimate objects she's curious about hahah. It's a little awkward when I walk her to my friend's house. People stare and I think to myself.. "My dog's not retarded, people. Stop looking at us .."

Thanks

She almost died on Tues. night. I rushed her to the Vet ER and she's slowly pulling through. She contracted a mystery disease that often kills dogs. I will post more info about it in a bit, because I think every dog owner needs to know about this, signs symptoms and what to do.

I'm so thankful that she seems to be making it. It comes on fast and strong and out of nowwhere. She's been through hell with the treatments and starting to slowly get better. She's back home with me now after an overnight in the animal ER.

back in a bit with info...

How did I miss this thread?? I'm like a new mother with my pets, and my remaining ones are now thirteen.

Oh, that reminds me of what my mother told me earlier on. a young woman from our vet's called us to ask for an update on Emily, Walter and Dora. They didn't ask about Rita... We had Emily somewhere else, and told them that they are too senior to have shots now. My mother also pointed out to them that they should have asked about Rita, as well, that she's still with us.

A year ago, the vet refused to operate on her right eye, and remove it like the left one, because of her heart. My sister found a herbal regimen online, and it's expensive, but she ordered the stuff, started the water therapy (shooting hot and then cold water at her heart, with the shower - I actually wonder if we need to try that again) and she turned around. This was right around the time my cousin died. I now hope that this won't blow back at us, and have something happen to her (by relating the fact that she's still with us, to the vet - because they just gave up on her, that b@stards). I was worried about the same thing, when a herbal product saved them as pups; the vet (another vet) has refused to use the product, acting as though we were stupid and naive to try it, and sent Walter home (when we'd been about to pack up Bert and Rita and take them in - suspected parvo with all of them).
