Dee, thanks & I will.

she's seriously the best dog ever born, in so many ways.

Chi's have a whole lot of personality packed into a little dog body.

She can be a sassy little thing, but so lovable too...with me anyway. very protective of her mummy, like most chi's are with their owners, it's the nature of the breed. Very territorial and possissive, but i wouldnt call her aggressive. She's always eventually nice to people, it can just take some time.

yeah, we adore each other. ;p

*side note (because i know some people are weird about people who dress their dogs up)

she easily catches a chill in normal comfortable human temps, being a short hair (like inside when the AC is on) so I will put something on her when i notice she's cold and I think she appreciates that.

85% of the time she's running around naked.

and she's still too small for the dog harnesses out there, so I had to get her a kitten one.

She's gorgeous!

She looks smaller than Dora; I didn't think that was possible. but I guess it is. She looks like she could squash her.

I know all about little dogs getting cold. I wanted to make mine little dog coats and my sister bought them some; the ones she bought have fake fur around the edges, and they kept making me laugh when they walked in them, because they looked like little divas.

It looks like she's daydreaming, or smelling the delicious air! LOL epicness.

she's under the blankets licking my leg right now.

aww, I would be seriously out of my mind if my dog lived nowadays. I had to lose her (died of cancer 20yrs ago - we grew up together) to appreciate her. Sort of. She was my faithful companion throughout school and college. At exam time, she was sleeping right next to my desk and hated when I closed the door, always demanded to be next to me, sleeping it off while I was cramming lol. We had some kind of weird beyond-words communication going on. The night she died everyone was asleep. I came back home late and had been too busy with my life to notice how sick she was. That night it's like she was waiting for me to come home. A look at her and I realized how bad she was. I took care of her but it was too late. I feel like she died in my arms. I witnessed her death.
We buried her in her favorite place (a mountain where she loved to go running). She was my favorite sister.

a hug and a kiss for you fury-baby from me,
Anongrl10

AAaaaawwwww...those are the cutest pictures ever!! What a sweetheart!

I am an animal lover (had a little zoo going for a while...1 dog, 5 cats, 2 birds, a fish and a hamster). I am now down to 3 cats. (The loss is horrible but the love they give while they are with us is the best ever!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! What a joy!

Venus, lol thanks! She's a bit of both actually. haha

Anon, that's a great story. Sounds like she loved you very much. Mine's the same way, demands to be on or next to me at all times and gets very distraught when i leave her home alone (rarely). Every time i get up for anything, there's little miss Twinkletoes (one of her many nicknames for her) hot on my heels wondering where "we" are going lol. & that took some getting used to..

Also know what you mean about the special unspoken communication I don't think a person has truly lived until theyve loved an animal.....(isnt there a famous quote along those lines..? hmm might have to see if i can dig it up). Very nice of you to bury her in her favorite earthly spot too

Thanks for sharing.

Cool Dazzle! Wow, that's alot of babies! & i agree :

I have been thinking a lot about getting another one so she can have a friend to play with. I heard chihuahuas especially love company of their own breed. Maybe then I could breathe a bit too.

great website:
http://www.petfinder.com/index.html

I think it's all shelters at the site. I didnt find her there but she was headed to a shelter if I didnt find her and decide to take her anyway. Already see about ten im interested in.

Really wanted a big dog, but couldnt happen sadly. Someday down the road I still think will get one. In many ways she is much easier and fits my lifestyle better. I wouldnt mind having 3 or 4 dogs, but not right now.
