It is with great sadness that I must tell you that the Belfast City Council in Northern Ireland has officially given word that they have murdered Lennox on this morning of July 11, 2012.

Despite million of pleas from millions across the world, including their own bosses. Despite Victoria Stilwell, host of Animal Planet's It's Me Or The Dog, offering to pay for Lennox to come live in the USA, the Belfast City Council killed Lennox.

And because they are such nice folk, they wouldn’t even let Lennox's human family, the Barnes, see him one last time or at least get his body. They said they will send them ashes in the mail. Some say that this is because the Belfast City Council had already killed Lennox a while ago. No one will ever know unless they have an official investigation and after seeing how Belfast is run, I'm not putting money on that happening.

If you are unfamiliar with Lennox and the Barnes Family story you can read about it here.

Here’s the official statement from the Belfast City Council:

“Belfast City Council confirmed today that the dog Lennox, an illegal pit-bull terrier type, has been humanely put to sleep. This was in accordance with the Order of the County Court which was affirmed by the Northern Ireland Court of Appeal. Whilst there is an exemption scheme to which dogs of this type (pit-bull terrier type) may be admitted as an alternative to destruction, there were no such measures that could be applied in this case that would address the concerns relating to public safety. The Council’s expert described the dog as one of the most unpredictable and dangerous dogs he had come across. Over the past two years, Council officials have been subjected to a sustained campaign of abuse including threats of violence and death threats. The Council has been in ongoing contact with the PSNI in relation to that. The Council regrets that the court action was necessary but would emphasize that the safety of the public remains its key priority.”

PUBLIC SAFETY?! From a dog that has never bit anyone? Check out this photo below of the Belfast Dog Warden caught here having fun with Lennox while at court she said he’s a dangerous dog.

Lennox during happier times.

Lennox in jail where he stayed for two years.

More on this story here.

Ughh me too T.

He never bit anyone, he wasn't aggressive at all. He's not even a Pitbull! He was an American Bulldog + Labrador mix. So sad what he went through..

Even though Lennox is no longer here, there's still many dogs in the same situation at Belfast. If anyone has any complaints, please, please, feel free to send them to:

complaints@belfastcity.gov.uk

or

dogwardens@belfastcity.gov.uk

Let them have a piece of your mind!

Wow, I hardly ever keep up with the news etc, but this would possibly explain a dream I had within the last couple of months.

There were people going off in the street, mucking up and being disruptive, and a teenage boy said, "They wouldn't get away with that in Dublin" in his irish accent, and in this way he was adding his support to the protest - he was criticising the disrupters, he was showing his solidarity with them.

Apparently, but forgive me if I am wrong, Belfast is part of what is known as Northern Ireland and therefore under the UK. Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland I think has outlawed certain dangerous breeds since the '70s, but I think the legalities of these breeds in Dublin comes down to the laws in various housing estates and it is not just widespread illegal to have the dangerous breeds.

Of course, my dream may have nothing to do with it, it just brought the dream to mind when I saw this topic, as it had the same feel about it once I started to look into the the news pieces - and, I couldn't place what it was about at the time. I certainly can't really remember a dog, but the disruptive street people, mainly ghetto women types were kind of harassing others with their loud jokey taunts. Apparently though, some of the public in this incident were oinking and stuff at the officials.

Sometimes, I get future movie titles and events, or sayings, words, headlines, etc in readings/dreams and when I remember them I know that they are pointing to something significant around me now in my own life.

They are also often puns within the readings themselves, that I do for myself.

So examples of this are things like 'Ghost Rider, coming in', 'sheik of the desert'
and various things that stand out when I hear or see them again at a future date, but at the time I couldn't connect them and they are so clear and specific. It usually points to significant changes/advents in my own life, sort of like signposts.

I have a few surfacing now but am just about to begin work on Monday in a surgical ward as part of a rotation of nursing placements within the public hospitals.
