I am slowly trying to get my cats to change over from traditional litter to the pine, cedar and corn mix...smells good and keeps the cat smell down.

I have 3 litter boxes and have it down to only one with the traditional litter but some little fart is not happy when the traditional litter gets full (one of my stratagies to get them to go in the new litter) and poops on rugs.

Any ideas?

Do you think throwing away the classic litter box altogether is too much for him to handle? It would force him to use the other one, especially if your other cats are doing it.

I have a similar problem with my kitty. I have him for only a week and he is rather old, 3.5 years old. He was trained to use the litter box but with me only uses it for pee and poops on the bathroom floor. I think it might be still stress from the move and the separation from his previous owners, who had him for almost all his life, but I think him and I are bonding very fast. I can't get him to poop in the box though. Got him a second box, different litter, even showed him how the poop goes in the box and needs to be covered. No effect.

I think what you should do is use the old litter but mix in alittle bit of pine litter with it to get them use to it. After awhile they should get use to the pine litter by itself.

There's a kit you can buy to teach them to use the toilet.

I think I could teach Sebastian to use the toilet if I wanted to. He seems very curious about what's going on in there.

That's it, no more furry kisses!!

Sandpaper kisses on a cheek or a chin
That is the way for a day to begin.
Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr
I have an alarm clock that's covered in fur!
