She's fine, she's fine. Nothing TOO serious, you know, but I've never had this happen before. Her nails had gotten a little long and my husband clipped them down nice and trim. Apparently, it was too much of a change for her foot pads and it caused new pressure points for her and caused a bunch of ingrown hairs which started some fungal infection which spread over the bottoms of her feet. We tried soaking her feet in epsom salts for 10 minutes, 3 times a day and hydrogen peroxide but it didn't work. So... poor dear is on antibiotics and has to wear a cone around her head so she doesn't lick her paws! She's being a trooper, though. IP: Logged |

Better!! Her feet are healing and she's playing right now  We only have to put the cone on her at night so she doesn't lick her feet.IP: Logged |
