My friends cat is slowly dieing, he doesn't eat as much as he use to, he hides most of the time and he doesn't clean himself as much as he use to.

He's suffering from a bloackage thats very difficult to get out.

In 2007 he was poisoned from bad cat food, I'm sure most of us remember the Menu Foods cat food recall.

We were fortunate to take him to the vet immediately and although the vet saved him
his kidneys don't function as well as they use to.

He's a very smart cat, when it was time to pick him up he refused to leave the vet and felt completely comfortable with her.

My friend has kept him alive by feeding him meat broth via a syringe.

He's been more active since the first time I've seen him but were just delaying the envidiable.

None of us want to see him go, my question is when do you make that decision?

Its an older picture when he was healthy.
He's the bigger cat on the right, thats his daughter on the left. He is a father of 6 cats.

That's a difficult one to answer as I have been through this to many times with dogs and cats...Some I waited to long and they passed in the house..So the way I decided for myself is as long as their eating drinking and not in any pain or discomfort I hold off as long as I know I can take them to the vet on fast notice if need be

One time I had to take my dog Sally to be put down she was back and forth to the vet for cancer..I was in denial bringing her to the vet for the last time and suffered much guilt feeling I didn't say a proper goodbye to her...So now when I know it's time I talk to them more and prepare both of us, so on the final trip to the vet we both know what's going to happen./
