I am fascinated with the idea of using buttons to teach animals to communicate with humans. Not only do they make for entertaining videos, there are studies actually being done around teaching animals to communicate with buttons.I just wanted to share my favorite kittehs who talk with buttons: Billi and Russell. Billi is a 14yo domestic shorthair and senior kittizen who lives with her hoomans in Canada (currently they're moving to the West coast of Canada) and her favorite button is "mad". She is quite smart, quite sassy, and an utter sweetheart. She demonstrates her understanding of concepts on her youtube channel @Billispeaks and her hoomans have put up a website for her where you learn more about Her Madjesty: BilliSpeaks.com One of my favorite Billi videos is Let Me Talk To The Manager Russell is part of a family of four kittehs - Russell is orange and white, Teen is orange with a white chest and socks, Winnie is a tortie with socks, and Libby is a tortie sans socks. Their youtube channel is CatManJohn, their TikTok is the same (I don't use TikTok, though) handle, CatManJohn; they have a linktree, and they are on Instagram @CatManJohn. I like when Russell uses the buttons to tell his hoomans what the other cats want. So far, he is the only one who uses the buttons.
One of my favorite Russell and fam videos is Playing With One Of The Smartest Cats In The World! There are other animals who use buttons, but I just wanted to share my favorite two. Enjoy! ------------------
