The Acts of Paul and Thecla

The Acts of Paul and Thecla is an apocryphal story of St Paul's Teachings and influence on a young woman and Disciple named Thecla. It is one of the writings of the New Testament Apocryphas (in about the second century) and banned from the Bible.

Thecla was a second century Feminist who preached and baptised in a mans world. It is a wonderful read and an excellent insight to the woman`s movement in the Christian community as a Disciple of Paul.

It doesn`t fly in the face of what we know of Pauline Doctrine so it`s easly understood some of the why`s it was banned

Wiki has some information for a brief overview:

but this link is easy to read and excellent!!:

Chapters eight and nine are my favorites
