I called my son about half an hour ago to wish him a Happy Easter and he received very sad news that one of his closest friends, Ilyia, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 1 in California a few hours ago; he's in the Bay Area/Mountain View.

Please say prayers for a smooth transition for him and peace and comfort for his family and girlfriend.

This explains the sense of dread I was feeling earlier this afternoon.
