Nature abhors a vacuum. You will lose some friends as you change frequency, but you will gain others of like Mind and Spirit. IP: Logged |

I'm finding that this is true.I think that it happens with any life transition, really. Though, to be fair, sometimes people in transition do alienate people, so it's not always that the friend is a bad guy per se. IP: Logged |

quote: Sometimes, we project to be someone that we expect others to see in us. In psychology, this is referred to as the shadow self, where we project an identity that conforms to how other people may perceive us versus being true to who we really are. Some people may find out that they never knew who they were because they lived their lives through the expectations of how others will perceive them.
Obviously this can be huge...but I think everyone has a persona. I wonder if it's an impossible ideal to always be true to yourself regardless of social consequences. I'm thinking of the radical honesty movement and how they seem to be trying to institutionalize rudeness. Well there HAS to be a better way. Deft evasiveness? Hermitages? How do you talk about controversial topics or your real nature without scaring everyone? Realistically that is TOUGH. Most people are still strangers and scatter easily.
