How do you deal with it when you don't understand God's reasoning or logic, when you don't understand why something is happening, and when your confusion and frustration start to damage a spiritual relationship that means so much to you?

Hi again,

Do you prefer being called Regardes or Platero?

I'm messed up spiritually and have no "advice," but I can tell you that I stop thinking.

Like Mother Teresa said, she doesn't talk to God, she just listens. And He doesn't talk to her either, he just listens.

A lot of my theology is wordless anymore. I just try to love people and be grateful for life.

My $.02

When we don't understand what is
happening..
MOther and Father God who art in
Heaven will simply say..
to search within..to See and Hear. ...

In the beginning we were given
The Universal Laws, that are Immutable..

You get what you give..
you're given what you gave..

If we all new this Simple Truth..
People would treat each Other much
better. ...

There was never a need for Man
to make his own laws, and turn
his back on God...

for the laws..kept the balance...

would you hurt someone, knowing
it would be done unto you?

Would you Kill?

what happens to a murderer?
They have a life as Man's best
friend, loyal, even when abused
or starved. ...A Dog-god
Sounds crazy huh? It has been
shone to me... .

Man put a price on our MOther Earth..
She gave everything we needed for FREE...

We will pay for what we have done...
Karma is a real thing...

Do unto others as you
would have done unto you....

Be Good!

Anubis/Sphinx holds the Truth!!!

Hello Platero!

How cute that you named yourself after a donkey. And thank you for the story about why you chose your name, I always want to know such things.

Although I am pathetic at foreign languages, I WAS an English literature major, and know what it's like to be in "book love."

My real name isn't Faith. My attitude toward life is characterized by faith, that's why I picked the name. Unless or until I lose my mind, the ONE constant I have is the faith that there is a reason for everything, and love ultimately triumphs.

Like that hymn, "Thou the mountains may fall and the hills turn to dust, yet the love of the Lord will stand." (Which might be a Catholic hymn only? I grew up Catholic and switched to psalm singing as a Calvinist.)

Anyway. Please know that you are not alone in this (another song)

I feel the same way.

Could it be Pluto? Squaring your sun and sitting on mine???

Who knows but I wish you strength on your journey, and serendipities, and peace in your heart.

Oh and you've got a friend in me. IF you like conversations that don't end because I'll keep checking in on this thread and lending whatever help or insight or commiseration I can.

Thank you for the conversation.

RegardesPlatero,
Sorry I was not very compassionate
on my first reply...
What do you do when this happens...?
sometimes..let the tears fall
down like rain..
talk to God, demand to know
desire to know why, with all
your Heart,
for surely when you seek the
Truth, it will set you free..

free to know and the will
to decide what to do..

when you know everything happens
for a reason, as we often say....

Nature is a most special place
to be silent=listen..
your life=file
will unfold...

your story

our story

for we are all connected...
everything we do and say affects
ALL. ...

RegardePlatero,

There are many things I don't understand, even if I were to seek and pray for God's Guidance. The only thing I can do in such an instance is to ask myself what Jesus would do in my shoes. The way to God is not through acts, but it does being "God like."

There are many responses I get back from God that I don't particularly like, but I often tell myself that its not for me to reason or question. Being faithful to God is to be obedient, which means "to follow."

So, I largely follow my conscience. In the rare instance where my conscience does not provide clear direction, I would turn to loved ones for guidance. The church community in general hasn't been very useful to me for such issues.

I hope that the above is useful.

You are a beautiful person. God Bless You bountifully.

In Christ.

Well,
if you honestly do not mind a non Christian,
anti biblical person replying,
I may reply more later.
I am not a Christian,
however......
I DO believe in and commune with God,
just not the biblical nasty one of second Genesis.
So please,
do not judge non Christians as atheists and and all.

Oh sure, non-Christians are more than welcome. Sorry for the misleading title.

Basically, what I wanted to avoid was militant atheists--as in the types who would just say "your faith is stupid so just give up religion because you're an idiot, and everyone who believes in anything spiritual is a moron, and God is just some figment of your imagination". THAT type of thing.

Respectful atheists and agnostics are more than welcome to reply--and, too, I wouldn't have wanted to hear from some of the crazier Christians out there, either, come to think of it.

Basically, just trying to look for respectful responses; probably should have worded that better/more clearly.

*I will respond to people later; I want to think about things and let them sink in*

So, feel free to keep the responses coming, and I'm grateful to all of you!

I'm not going to make that a habit or anything, but doing something nice for myself and reminding myself in a tangible way that I deserve to be valued is helpful every now and then, on a healthy and reasonable and not budget-unfriendly level.

Amen to that! And your necklaces sound so pretty.

Regarde, I remember how meticulous you were about the rules for posting copy with links, and I was impressed. Would you like to Mod this Forum (or HC)? I am trying to kick up the traffic in those two Forums.
