I understand the reason for the thread closing. I agree as does Randall that all should be heard A mod can`t close another Mods thread. Only the mod starter or Randall may do so. I know you didn`t know this so no worries ------------------ As Angels above guide Human beings, Human Beings have the opportunity to be Angels on Earth, who guide the Animal kingdom. - Da Vinci IP: Logged |

>>> and I apologise for mispelling your name edited to say, since this thread is for you and has no general purpose, will you delete it please? ------------------ As Angels above guide Human beings, Human Beings have the opportunity to be Angels on Earth, who guide the Animal kingdom. - Da VinciIP: Logged |

I opened it up and commented and then closed it. Yep, best that Mods not close other Mods' strings. But I understand the decision to do so, Platero. Love your signature quote, Juni. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." OK, I apologize. I thought that a mod could close any thread; was not aware of the rule about closing other mods' threads. And evidently that means even if a mod is not a mod on that particular forum? Mod is mod no matter where? Sorry about that! Honestly, I just was concerned and wanted to help smooth things over and calm things down, without being too much of a "butt-in-ski". For future reference: when ARE you allowed to close a thread? I know that you're not supposed to delete threads in most cases, so that was why I closed rather than deleted. I have been trying to do a good job, but I do think that it might be helpful to have some written guidelines/have this all summed up somewhere (or if they already are, is there a link to it?)

You did right closing it. That's when you should close a string. Good timing. We just decided a little while back that a Mod shouldn't close another Mod's. Contact me to do so. No worries.IP: Logged |

OK, thanks, Randall. Just to be clear, though: I only need to contact you first if it's a mod-created thread? I can close others if need be without contacting you first if it's not mod-generated? IP: Logged |

You did a wonderful job in a hard situation, Regardes. You used good judgement and fairness.
