Just out of curiosity, does anyone now (or ever) really believe that God takes an interest in who wins a game? That is, have you ever thought that if a team won (be it some high school game or the World Series) that God deserved the credit rather than hard work, training, dedication, good coaching, etc?I want to ask a question but only someone who has ever believed this could possibly answer it, and I don't want to explain the background of it unless there's a good chance someone can answer. I confess, until I was about 10 years old, I took the words "ask and it will be given" literal. And prayed for what I desired. I was the most confused child and as an adult, it encouraged me to study the Holy Text(s). To understand them whole and complete instead of childishly picking and choosing what I needed for the occassion. ------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost IP: Logged |
