What could a license and birth certificate prove if you don't know my real name? Ami, my faith in astrology is taking a beating here.

Somebody's faith is taking a beating here.

Hopefully, it's the good kind,
as when swords are beaten into plowshares.

Difficult to tell at this time.

These people don't bother me. Some people lose their lives to talk about Jesus. I get some mind harassment.

Jesus might want you to put better effort in. Don't go get yourself killed or anything, but definitely don't keep doing what you have been doing, or going about things that way. It's doing Him a disservice. You arent makng Him proud.

What Does it MEAN to be Born Again? Fallacies Put To Rest

Every Born Again I've known has had a really screwed up past.

My bestie went away for a summer to his dad's down south and came back a 'born again'. Six months later he was dead of a heroin overdose.

The 4 other "Born Agains" have all ended up either dead or addicted to drugs, or in some way slipped down a very tragic hole.

So, sorry that I won't be swallowing any pill you try to feed anyone here. In my experience becoming Born Again has worsened people's lives and not helped them in anyway.

I find they are usually all former drug addicts or homeless (like a current neighbor of mine), or come from abusive families or violent relationsihips and have nothing worthwhile to teach or help anyone with because they are still quite messed up themselves. Many of them go to prisons to try to convert the criminals there too.

Not a group I want to be a part of.

A child molestor can say he accepts Jesus, but does not really have an inner transformation of any sort....and is still the same person he was before.....I want nothing to do with those kind of fakers.

Nope. I think I'll hang around and see what kind of bs you are going to spew out next.

It's personal to me.

I'll ignore you when I feel like ignoring you. Not when you tell me to.

Thanks Lexx.

Ami.....I expect better from a "Christian Psychic'.

Is that all you got? A laughing face?

Probably not what Jesus would do.

We wouldnt expect much more from you though.

Still waiting on the "Born Again" article and you putting the fallacies to rest....

Hmm, I've had an opposite experience.

What I have seen happen is a sort of on again/off again/on again situation.

Much of what that is from, imo, is the first thing that happens is an entire rule book is dropped upon them, they MUST evangelize, they MUST study the Bible each night, every night, they MUST attend thrice weekly congregations.

Very difficult really.

If that is directed at me HSC, let me expound on my view:

Faith is a marathon (as Paul alludes to) not a sprint, you should know my view on Evangelism (as long as one is really called to do it and good at it) and have -0- problem with it.

What I'm describing is taking a spiritual coach potato and tossing them onto the biggest loser TV show and then when they fail people are not surprised.

It takes time to grow in Faith, there is no real way around it.

I thought Ami and I were making a lovely point. Any tool, be it a sword or a plowshare, is only as useful as the hand wielding it.

There are swords, and there are swords.

One is a tool, the other a weapon.

Just as there are hammers, and hammers.

I'll wield the hammer.

If you'll set you sword on the anvil.
