I am still wondering why people speaj of christ's sacrifice? Being resurrected and joining god eternally, ie living forever, is the whole point of the crucifixion, is it not? Apart from showing that men were not very different then than now, when wewould surely crucify him all over again?IP: Logged |

Had a dream once, or perhaps it was a vision, and a voice told me 4 bible verses, one of them was: quote: and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
What that means to this conversation, I honestly do not know, just was moved to recount it. IP: Logged |

She is a he, and a most interesting he, in fact. I am not always in agreement with HSC, but he does possess the useful ability to send an open mind spiraling. Sometimes a clear understanding of what we don't believe is as beneficial as a clear understanding of what we do believe. He also makes a fine sparring partner if you are ever so inclined. ..and I will go further...no One can take on your sins/actions.. we are each responsible for our own actions, no One can take on your Karma, it is yours alone. ... ------------------ All my love, with all my Heart lotusheartone IP: Logged |

Very nice, HSC. I believe you've hit on the heart of the matter. A pleasure to see you again, pilgrim. IP: Logged |

Padre,I envy your accomplishment. I hope to learn Greek, perhaps Latin and Hebrew as well, in order to read several of my most beloved works in their original tongue. However, to be precise, the true "original tongue" in which these matters were put forth was never a language invented by men. They are imparted intuitively by the Spirit. One who has no passing acquaintance with that language, cannot even begin to comprehend the Greek or Hebrew scriptures; which are already second-hand translations of it. On the other hand, one who is fluent in the Spirit, can read the text more clearly in English than in Greek -- indeed, can dispense with the text altogether, and see God's Word written on every stone. Shura,
Thank you. We've had more than a few disputes, yet, somehow, a mutual respect is preserved. I have tended to find you harsh, but fair. It's nice to see you, too. I could sure use a good sparring partner. It's thin pickings, but, then, I suppose, it's often the lightweights who challenge us most to control our arrogance, and to rely less on our intellectual acumen than on our manner of expression; that it be simple, humble, and understated; not relying on vain display and virtuosity of interpretation; which, at best, can only make us appear better than we are.
