Lately, I have had so much abundance come to me. The Bible says that if you give to others, God will give to you until you are overflowing.

I think you need to give when you are led by God, not just willy nilly.

I gave a donation of 100 dollars to someone who has a project that he loves and values. I bet I was the only one who gave, but maybe not. Within 2 days, I got 3 times that back.

I felt to give something free to someone else. Within the next few days, the same thing happened.

The last time, it was the same thing in which I felt I should give something free and huge abundance came back, maybe 6 times what I gave.

Then, I started a garden. After I feed my immediate family, I have a woman's family I want to feed, as they cannot afford fresh veggies. Well, the restaurant down the street wants to buy my produce on a regular basis so I will get paid for doing nothing, basically as it is already planted.

I have 2 more businesses lol but I will stop there

I am curious if it is part of your religion or something the Bible says about feeding your family first when you arent struggling, instead of the family that cant afford to....?

If you go by the outcomes of the experiences you listed here, it would seem that if you shared with the people struggling first, it might multiply your own bounty as you have shown examples of happening before.

I'm curious if it is due to religious beliefs that you would not share with the family who could not afford fresh fruits and veggies first? Or at least split what you have with them or share some seeds with them? Help them get started on growing their own?

LOL & hi Emerald.

Hope I wasnt too direct or look like I'm trying to start a fight. That is not my intention. I don't mean anything by it except genuinely curious if the Bible says to make sure your family is taken care of first before helping others. I have not studied the Bible.

I think there is a way around that one where she could help them while still keeping her families bellies full at the same time. Maybe take some from out of what she was going to sell to the restaurant.

Hi T,

Yes, exactly, especially for a first
time grower of produce..

immediate family might not get
much at all. ...

never mind putting the needy first..
which they should be. ...

Thanks for asking. It is medium but I am going to enlarge it. I have it in the front planters of my house as well as have used the whole of the dogs pen such that she has no place to go to the bathroom lol

I am going to enlarge the dog pen to twice it's size. I am not sure feet wise how big it is.

Then, I have 50 collard plants in my yard and am going to get 50 more. The restaurant has a collard dish and collards grow really well.

I have cabbage, brussel sprouts, romaine lettuce, bibb lettuce, kale, tomatoes. blueberries, strawberries, string beans, radiccio lettuce, all sorts of exotic spices like chocolate mint, orange and grapefruit mint, pineapple sage, hot and spicy oregano as well as traditional ones like basil, spearmint, peppermint and cilantro. You can see that I am crazy about it

I just got lavender which feels like velvet and does not smell until you touch it.

No,it is not part of my religion to help others. I don't have a weird religion. I am just a Bible believer but normal except for my personal nuttiness

Ami,

the question is,

how much will actually be produced...

I've had 178 tomato plants..that's alto
of tomato's ....
so many were eaten by bugs, grubs, etc...
I used no pesticides...

what was left...not enough for my own
family....

it's tough, and it's really hard work..
maintaining a garden!

Well be careful - a lot of local and state govts are very strict about veggies in the frint garden...and selling without a permit. Then to get the permit can involve altering your methods and crops!

Well, so far most have not been eaten but some of the collards have bites in them, so I am experimenting with natural pesticides. So far, I have great progress and can use fresh greens in juice every day. I have a friend helping me who has a lot of experience, so I should be OK. I study all the time about it, so hope my things don't get eaten. Knock on wood, most have not, so far.

AA, You could share what you produce. Afterall, God will take care of those who take care of others. Right?

I'm not saying go hungry yourself. I think you missed the whole point. & that I should not bother elaborating.

the Truth is..

there is just nothing else like it..
going to your garden with your basket...
pulling some carrots..
grabbing some peppers...
a head of lettuce...

corn on the cob..

feels and smells so good!
