Well, not to limit discussion based on setting up verbal rules (or typed in this case):When the term "God" is used in a metaphysical context, what does it mean to you? IP: Logged |

It would be AS AN EXAMPLE, like a big clear jello ball... God is represented by the clear jello. The jello holds everything in place, and even nutrifies the things in the ball. God loves all his creation in this jello. yep... God is One big jello mould, and we are the cherries inside it... (oh-boy... I gotta go to bed.... The most profound and "loaded" word in our language. The most profound archetype in the spiritual unconscious of mankind. God is the All, the Spirit which underlies, interprenetrates, transcends, predates, emanates, upholds, and eludes the All. God is the foundtainhead of every virtue; Love, Truth, Charity, Compassion, Hope, Faith, Courage, Patience, Devotion, etc. God is what is hinted at by all deep experiences of the mystical. God is a part of myself and all things, and we are all a part of God. IP: Logged |

There are 99 superheroes who each embody a different facet.--- As for me, God is Love and is Home. That's what I felt and Knew when I died, so that's all I can speak to. ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Interesting to think as people at this stage of development, we have to use sounds and picture symbols to create the word "God".Do wonder if at some point in our evolution if there will be a sort of unspoken communication of the concept between people w/o the usage of sounds or picture symbols? More and more I wake up to ghosts in my dreams.Early this morning I woke briefly to a scenario whereby I was speaking hebrew words to a ghost inhabiting someone else. I just googled the meanings and am still wondering about the whole thing. The story was that I was passing the corner of the front yard of someone's house. In the corner was a tall tree and a shed with an old man in it. Perhaps it was the husband of the old woman that lived at the house. Someone communicated to me that the ghost had left Bonnie's yard/house, Bonnie was the old woman that had lived at the house. I then found myself in a room somewhere with a wardrobe at the wall and some ladies seated at a table. The ladies said that the ghost was now in 'Laura' and they looked towards a corner of the room between them and the wardrobe. I looked over the table and saw there was a teenage girl/youngish woman there. She stood up and came around to stand in full view in front of the cupboard. She possibly was naked and she began to speak and then I saw that her face changed. And I agreed with the ladies and said yes I can see that the ghost is now in Laura. I was a bit scared and started to speak in what I thought was Hebrew when I was speaking the words, and now have since found out that they have feasible Hebrew meanings. I said 'Ah allay ek (or ay, both are remembered in that last part of the phrase, then I said) Ah malik ay' Ah, apparently means God or from God allay, means 'woe' ek, means 'how' and is derived from 'ay' - ay was a canaanite city. Malik (and my memory saw malech simultaneously) means king or chieftain and both malik/malech mean the same thing. So I'm not sure of the connotation of ek meaning 'how' and ay (also known as 'Ai')meaning the canaanite city but possibly the translation encompasses that the means of something is the same as the saying 'all roads lead to rome' or perhaps that any issue can be sourced from whatever the goings on or significance was in the canaanite city. In some meanings, 'ay' is also associated with 'how'. So maybe it was a city that was associated with the derivative of some kind of suffering, and when I look it up on the internet, the canaanites apparently had terrible 'sins'. So, possibly, and of course I can only partially believe the translations as its a bit of pot luck as to whether I have actually pulled the right meaning - however, going off the above meanings, I would say that the hebrew words mean: From God - woe - how (perhaps I said what is this suffering for you to be like this, maybe? Or perhaps I was calling it to realize that this was between God and 'it'. then something about: From God - king - of Ay, the Canaanite city. So yeah, I'm not sure the emphasis on the words now, whether I was commanding or consolatory, or just trying to make it realize something. When I said the first phrase, I felt like the ghost was enhanced and came more to the fore of the figure, then when I said the second phrase straight after, the ghost seemed to shrink and concentrate towards the middle abdomen of the person and may have been expelled. I had a faint sensation that I had called the ghost out and my heart was racing for a bit and as the visions diminished I saw a goldish swirly cloud light in my half asleepness or dream state swirling there and I felt it was the ghost - but they were still freaking me out and I'm not sure what had just occurred. I also had a faint impression that the ghost might stay with me and not go away, but after 3 secs or so it went away and I must have gone back to sleep. Before I went to sleep I tried to make myself remember the words because I knew I would want to explore it all once awake. So I guess now I wonder what has really occurred if anything. I think it strange that I was reciting hebrew and mentioning God. The ghost was terrifying in its strange state. I have no idea who Laura is though do know a couple of Lauras. Laura is a latin name but does have a Hebrew associated name as well. The latin name means 'laurel' or sweet bay and is a symbol of honour, distinction etc. The hebrew version is Dafna, and probably both versions are derived from the old greek name Daphne, who was a nymph that was changed into a laurel tree when she was trying to escape from Apollo. I know an old lady from my work called Bonnie. She was in her nineties and may have died by now as she was no longer suitable for rehabiliation and was unable to go home due to her deconditioned state. She was very sweet and once when she was unwell and the doctors were attending her after a loss of consciousness, she spontaneously reached her hand out to me and asked me to help her. She was infact incontinent of faeces and urine but the way she had reached her hand gently out to me had touched my heart as she calmly looked at me with such dignified sincerity - I had felt honoured at the time - though I guess some would be laughing at this account as I then had to apply myself to washing her and changing her clothes. She had had several occasions where she went into a type of coma over the last several days. Her poor old broken femur had not repaired properly and she had a degree of dementia. Her prognosis was not good and she had been delegated to a nursing home due to being unsuitable for either rehab or going back to her home with her old husband. I can't now remember exactly what she said when she reached out for my hand but it was possibly, 'oh hello darling, you'll help me won't you'. I have had several dreams in the last couple of years whereby australian aboriginal ghosts come to me. I thought I might have one aboriginal ancestor but there is no evidence of it in the records as far as I can see yet, however, one ancestor's middle name was Adelong, which is an aboriginal name but also the name of the town that he was born in. I wonder if Bonnie had aboriginal in her as she had an olive skin and was quite laid back and not given to fussing - also she stoically handled severe pain without complaint - which maybe is consistent with how the older generation of aboriginal people were - due to the history of aboriginal people since white settlement in Australia. I wonder about the dream symbolism of the ladies at the table. I only remember two vaguely and am not sure if the table was round or square. The 'norns' come to mind for me when thinking about the women. They are supposed to represent the past, present and future of fate. I think only two were present so perhaps if one was missing maybe it was the one that represented the 'future'. I didn't see them after my interaction with the ghost but felt they were looking on. I felt I was kind of supplied the hebrew words as if a microsecond in front of my thinking, someone had told me the words to say, and I felt like I had to really work to say them believably, almost like I had to step up to the plate and look like I knew what I was talking about. Surely, it can't be this way really though. I wonder now if it is all to do with my own psyche or whether I actually had to perform some kind of vocation in this - I might be able to get more insight into it all over time as I am writing this straight after googling the meanings of the hebrew words. I'm so grateful for the experience though, especially because it seems to have some kind of validity to the meanings. IP: Logged |

Thank you juniperb,I feel that the meaning of the ladies at the table is about a change of fortune/circumstance that is required due to other social connections that are to be included in my life and are formative for other directions in my life. From the sensation of the weight and age of the women, a feeling arises in me that there is a degree of burden that will accompany this change. The wardrobe in the dream also speaks of a necessary transition but it will arise with me pretty much oblivious of what is happening until I'm entrenched in the change. I could post in the other forums but I was chiefly adding to this one because I thought it amazing to speak Hebrew concerning issues with 'God'. I have channelled other languages before in narratives but this was something new - a spontaneous addition to a dream and being enabled to remember the words so that I could explore them once fully awake. I generally find standard dream interpretation falls short of much of the content and meaning of dreams. I don't worry too much about reposting in different forums because I would imagine that most people are reading off the daily threads anyway. IP: Logged |

for me God just is. He is impossible to define. He is not the universe(He is beyond it), not a force--in physics, forces only exist as a result of an Interaction between two objects. When the interaction ceases, the two objects no longer experience the force; Not an avatar, and especially not a concept. We have reduced Him to a concept. If God is a concept than we all are concepts. He is the One that chooses not to finish everything when He has all the reasons and power to do it. That is why i can only love God. It is impossible not to love Him when you become aware of certain things. He is true selfless mercy and love. God is the original when you experience the second-hand copy from various people or situations. God is to be loved, not feared, if you fear Him, you live in fear of an idol that isn't God, it's something else. This is one of the biggest lies of all times, that God hates us. The true meaning of ”fear of God” is to be aware of His infinite power. The thought alone can make you humble and for some, ashamed. He is the only One who can turn a truly bad situation into good. It is what lasts in a person until death, which determines them to hope.IP: Logged | |
