Okay, so I associate Shakti with the Galactic Center. Center of the Galaxy, birth(?) of everything, in a sense. Shakti is ultimately all the Feminine Energies of the Deities and one half of 'God'. So then... what would be Shiva? It's logical to associate him with Earth, given the Goddess cannot die but feeds her people with the Year God in some lore, just like how the Earth 'dies' for us to live (or did for us to live). At the same time though, it makes sense for Earth to be Mother in the sense that all is 'born' of Earth. Anyone care to share their thoughts?------------------ I call the planets by their Greek names. Now please stop asking which asteroids I'm using? ^-^' -La Sorcière du Temps IP: Logged |

A lot of it blends together. For example, the apple can be seen as the male from the female tree that birthed and its a seed the fertilizes the earth and thus gives birth of a new tree from the womb of the earth, OTOH it can instead be the womb that gives birth to a tree. Male/female dynamics vary by culture but the paradigms work pretty well regardless. Yin and yang make up everything, and depending on cultural context someone's yin can be someone else's yang, but it will still have at least a little of its "opposing duality" within it still. Metaphysics tend to be a lot more poetic, metaphoric, and dreamlike rather than objective as the outer world. IP: Logged |

In a sense similar to Sun and Moon being either God or Goddess in other cultures. It does make sense.------------------ I call the planets by their Greek names. Now please stop asking which asteroids I'm using? ^-^' -La Sorcière du Temps IP: Logged | |
