A great observation of the Jupitarian Ruled Life Pathers, who coincidentally vibrate with the Cenaturian/Sagittarius Sun Sign; as indicated by Linda and many other Astrologers.
In my humble observations, the love for domestic pets, is dominant in this Sign as well as the Virgo, who too share the common need and love for non-human Living Creatures, specifically canines and felines.
For the Life Paths of 3 & 5, there seems to be a Force of both domestication and it's need for control and home base and True Nomadism, with it's calling of Wandering the World "in search of". Sagittarians, and All 3 LP's I have noticed, relate to animals on a wave most people cannot understand. The mutual understanding that all Living creatures communicate without language is universal to the Sagittarian and most 3 LP's. The whole "whisperer" concept could have been concocted by such people.
Virgo, on the other hand and LP 5's often have this wanderlust of their polar opposites, Pisces, as well as their innate understanding of the emotionality of All Living creatures. Whilst they may want to wander the Earth like Cain, they are betwixed at the need to stay home and watch the For so to speak. Domestic Animals provide comfort to such Souls I notice.
Both I feel, adore the love and support of non-verbal nurturance a domestic animal can provide

These observations give Great insight and new meaning to the Word "People Watcher" :/
