Hello everyone! I am really new to Chaldean numerology (have only been learning for a few weeks) and I would be so grateful if someone here could give me advice on my new name. For my whole life I've felt no attachment to my birth name. It's always felt like my name doesn't actually refer to me, if that makes sense. It also has negative associations due to my bad childhood. I now would like to change my name, but I'm afraid that the name I want may be even worse. For reference, my birthdate is 4/28/79, and my last name is Ireland (which I think equals 21? I might be wrong). The new name I'd like is a 12, which doesn't seem very positive at all But I love the new name so much! I feel genuinely happy when I think of being called it. I have three major questions, and many thanks in advance to anyone willing to tackle them: Would it be a really bad idea for me to choose this 12 name? I've already had a lot of personal issues with failure and being taken advantage of, and I'd reeeeally rather not add influences that are unsuitable. Is the first name alone most important, or should I be more concerned about what it adds up to when added with my last name? Would it be better to look for a name which matches my birthdate (28), or is it okay to choose an extremely fortunate name (19, 23, 24, etc) to brighten up my birth number? I like many of the fortunate 6 names, especially, and feel like I can use all the help I can get Thanks again!

My actual first name is a 17, but usually only my mom used it. In childhood I was usually called by a nickname that was a 21.I changed the spelling of that nickname when I was a teen due to it constantly being misspelled... and that version of it was also a 17. My first name is long and unique, and since people can rarely pronounce it, I've been called by other nicknames, too. (I would compare it to how a woman named Elizabeth might be called Liz, Lizzie, or Ellie by different people.) I wonder if all this conflicting energy has something to do with my feelings that I've never felt my name "fits" me? Thanks for the welcome and the replies! IP: Logged |

#3 is 'self expression & the joy of living'. This # was born to have fun. However your true path (40/4) is one of 'limitation, order & service'This new name # will take you back to the time b4 you changed your name to a 17. IP: Logged |

Hi Justlearning, and welcome here. quote:

So your life path is a 4. 4+2+8+1+9+7+9=40=4+0=4. Given that your birthday is a 28, you are lucky, as the number isn't good for most, but works really well for those with a prominent 4 (which you have in both your life path and in your birth month. now moving on. quote:

12 isn't necessarily bad. it works really well for some. I know about the association with the hanged man in the tarot. But remember, this the Norse god Odin, hanging upside down from the ash tree to attain wisdom. The 3 (almost all numbers that add up t 3 share this trait)is all about the mental realms. If you already have the highest level of education you can get (I guess MBA) or if you're not there yet, but if you have the means to attain that education, then this is okay. As all 3's are extremly smart people whose 'thorn in the side' is that they usually don't get the education they really wanted because of finances or life or whatever. But for your numbers there are better vibrations. HOWEVER avoid any number that adds up to an 8, like you'd avoid the plague quote:
Is the first name alone most important, or should I be more concerned about what it adds up to when added with my last name?
Depends, do you have a facebook? Are you usually in situations where people see your first name and family name more than just the first name? Are you in college, where you will be having to write your name and surname on everything, and see it all over quite a few times a week if not a day? If so, then yes the name and surname matters. On the other end are you living a life, where you most hear and see your first name only (tht is not a life with a lot of paperwork and whatnot, you will rarely need an id, or something with both?) then the first name matters more. quote:

Again just avoid any 8 number, you said you were a 17, i quote this from Indigo Nine's blog, in her post about Chaldean numerology (i like that place, i think its bcoz of it that i found this forum, and to date the most informative person i've found on this subject) Those with a prominent 4 will take a course at the school of hard knocks. I posted somewhere more things when someone asked about the 4 and 8, and you can read what i wrote there. A lot of it from LG's book, and from other sources. Yes the 6 names are usually good for you, so if you find one you like (preferably other than 15) then go for it. Okay i hope this cleared things up more for you and that your questions were answered. Enjoy your adventure in this numerology system, and good luck with changing your life to the better IP: Logged |

This to justlearning, i don't know about prominent 4's but the name number 12 seems to work brilliantly for those with a prominent 8 either through birth months or birth day. This is the picture for 12, from Linda Goodman's star cards. As you can see this isn't sacrifice victim in the traditional sense. But the person who is ready to scarifice there own self, or pour their own blood, in return for knowledge others are to scared to seek. (though 3 is ruled by Jupiter and Uranus 4, what could the gift giver or expander possibly give the humanitarian rebel? ) IP: Logged |

Linda's star sign cards?I found them here, i think they were made by two people who were also so much in love with Linda and her teachings, so put them all into the cards, i like them because they clearly link with numerology so no second guessing. If you scroll down it shows more pictures, http://www.amazon.com/Linda-Goodmans-Star-Cards-Numerological/dp/1571741852 amazing all what is out there that was inspired by what she brought into the light, right ? Those cards are lovely!I've spent the past few weeks doing further research on my new name. Despite my love of the 12 name, I'm leaning toward NOT taking it. I'm currently trying to get a degree (after spending much of my life having my education plans thwarted by various things. I don't think the 12 vibration would be very beneficial to me right now. (Still, as silly as it might sound, I do wonder why the name resonates so strongly with me and whether it might be "meant for me" regardless of what it would bring.) What do all of you here think of taking a name with the same number as the birthdate? I've seen conflicting advice about this from my reading of several books and on other sites. I know that 28 names are not usually considered fortunate, but at least one source I found claimed that they are VERY favorable for those born on the 28th. Yet other sources advise only changing the name to a really lucky compatible number. I am still trying to work out the best path to take

Try a name that adds up to 1, other than 28. 37 is royal star number so great. 28 though actually works really great for those with a prominet 4 in their names, or birthday, the stability of the 4 seems to work in their favour, not letting them lose their heads an fall ever.also it's great for company names, cocoa cola, facebook are 28's. HTH's just remembered an old string lol. IP: Logged | |
