I had a "philosophy" course which was actually religion, so it totally blew with it's closed-mindedness.

My brother ( a Cancer) is dissapointed with himself for not having a more prestigious job (than working at a health food store) at his age of thirty, it will be in a little while, and thinks he should have gotton farther than he has by now. He's got like a bachelor's in Sociology or something (it's the degree I'm uncertain of, I know it's Sociology).

Well I think that it's not important the "prestige" you achieve; what really matters is to be working on what you are really passionte about. Something that fulfills you in every way.

In my mind, any job should equal happiness, otherwise, it's not worth doing it.

World leader? hehe, well ya know, I wanted to be the President of my country. LOL. For many years I would daydream about that. And all the things I would implement to modify the injustice, helping the poor and taking special care of children, animals and elders. etc.etc.
(and of course the idea of a little personal glory was also nice hehe)
I'm not an hypocrite. hahah

Let me tell you that my actual career involves politics. And I worked in the Ministry of Foregin Affairs here- and it was a terrible experience (I came to knew a reality which was far worse than I've imagined).

So yeah, I guess I don't know where the wind is going to take me regarding jobs- I guess I'm not applying anymore for the "Presidential seat". LOL

I, sometime ago, got a book entitled "Astrology Karma & Transformation" written by Stephen Arroyo. I wasn't really able to get into it since the writing was not very compelling, I just couldn't engage myself. Recently, however, my mother said I should read the bit on Midheaven in it, and I did, and I found it pretty good, so I think I'll share with you a concept it proposes us to consider, when analyzing natl birth charts.

It's really not very far out there, or terribly elaborate, but I still think it's cool to look at when looking at natal charts now.

In the chart the midheaven represents the work life, and it goes on to talk about how one can extrapolate more traits in the native of a placement (or justify already found traits) by considering that there will be personal justification for the natives work, namely that he wants to do it, and believes in it etc. But it further said that the planets in the 10th house or conjunct the 10th house cusp were also part of the natives inspiration and vocation. The thing I like to look at know is the house of the planet that rules the sign your ascendant is.

For example I have Leo Midheaven which would insinuate I want to organize people and basically rule them and believe that that would be in interest relevant to me. This is true, lol. Then I also have Chiron (the wounded healer) conjunct my Midheaven, which would insinuate I want to save people from perils I faced, or prevent them from having to face them rather (and this is considering the definition of peril, and relative contrast defining worth defining between peril or uh... not peril, and not blandly declaring something i didnt like was peril, I KNOW about character building, so noone start talking about that to me know). I mean of course. My sun is in the fourth house, the house of Cancer, which insinuates I will be active at home, and/or be personally moved to secure, however that may be, and that's also true, as far as I can tell. I cook for friends when I'm at there house sometimes. Overall seems right.

My MC is conjunct my Moon (exact deg) in Cancer. And, my AC is Scorpio (5 deg), ruled by Pluto/Mars. Mars is in the 1st Scorpio and Pluto is in the 12th in Libra.

You cook? Very good. So do I. It is one of my favorite things to do. It's so creative and challenging that I get stimuli from all my centers when cooking. All my senses are at work including timing, etc.

Will (the landlord) has gone to the very school I attend now, and in fact dated my sister. He had recently been staying in contact with Dan, my brother. It was through my brother than Will was informed of my case, and thus he phoned me. This... connection of familiarity is sort of scaring me as it's rather why I want to go to the city; to escape it here. Either way, we'll see what happens.
