More information on me:

I'm a male, 25 years old, and my name is Justin.

I currently live in Richmond, Virginia, but I'll be moving, likely back to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the end of August.

I tend to socialize somewhat irregularly here; usually making a large succession of posts, followed by a month or two of not even visiting this website.

I'll have been a member here for 3 years in December.

But I suppose this is my formal introduction.

So... hello everyone.

Here is a photo of me. I've posted this one a few times, many of you have likely seen it before. I don't enjoy having photos taken of me, and there are probably only about 10 photos of me in existence from within the past 5 years. This is the only one I bothered uploading. Alas, love me or leave me.

May 30th, 2006. Sitting in my bedroom, but always enjoying the sun shining on me.

It's a couple of years old, but I still look exactly the same.

Okay, time for a little music!!!

It was tough to stop at 12, but here are a dozen albums from my collection that I believe everyone should check out:

In no particular order-

"Unspeakable" by Bill Frisell
-A great Americana/ Jazz/ Experimental/ Progressive musician.

"Deviation" by Bela Fleck
-Bluegrass Fusion. Some of his earlier stuff, while still working with the New Grass Revival.

"The Instinct" by Denali
-Perhaps the best thing to come out of my current residence: Richmond, Virginia. I just love Maura Davis's voice. She and her mom have been to the restaurant I work at a couple times, we've spoken, and I've tried to encourage Maura to make some music with me, but she never returned my e-mail... guess this Leo is too much of a rock star to deal with me.

"Sugar" by Aloha
-Interesting sounds. Experimental progressions with a pop-ish platform. Great band to see in concert.

"The Mollusk" by Ween
-Words simply cannot describe these guys.

"Live at the Village Vanguard" by John Coltrane
-What more can you say?!?!

"Edgar Meyer" by Edgar Meyer
-A brilliant musician. Does a lot of work with Bela Fleck. I had the pleasure of seeing the two of them play together at the first Bonnaroo festival. Meyer plays every instrument on this album. Sounds of Classical, Progressive, Jazz, Bluegrass, Folk throughout.

"J.S. Bach: 6 Suites for Cello Solo" by Matt Haimovitz
-I saw this guy live once at an art opening and he undeniably makes Classical music a lot of fun. Forget about sheet music; this guy has these pieces fully committed to memory. I love Bach's Cello Suites, so I figured I'd recommend this particular album.

"The Lost Trident Sessions" by Mahavishnu Orchestra
-Great Prog-Rock/Jazz Fusion. A band featuring Billy Cobham, maybe my favorite drummer of all time.

"Best of the Sugar Hill Years" by Jerry Douglas
-A compilation of works by perhaps the world's best Dobro slide guitarist. He is currently playing with Alison Krauss and Union Station.

"And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out" by Yo La Tengo
-I like waking up with a cup of coffee to these folks.

"The Living End" by The Living End
-Rocking debut album from this Australian Ska band. Its rare when ska bands actually have legitimate musical knowledge, but these guys do.

Thanks, Silverstone. I don't think I've ever seen a chart as tight as mine. My Sun, Moon, and all planets are contained within 78 degrees.

Edit for initial thread post:

-Mars Quintile Saturn (not Novile, as I first stated)
-Mars Quintile Pluto

yup.
extreme lack of any notable aspects.. got three..
Scorpio's tend to be into techno I've noticed.
And with condensation like that I wouldn't exclude you from the stereotype.

------------------
Sun: Pisces
Moon: Libra
Rising: Scorpio

Yeah, I guess I mainly have a mixture of conjunctions, with otherwise no formations of major aspects.

Sun, Merc, Venus, Jupiter, all conjunct in Scorpio. Moon conjunct Pluto and Saturn in Libra. Uranus and Mars untouched by major interplanetary aspects, with Neptune only forming major aspects to my outer planets, which is largely irrelevant personally.

Hmmm... Techno music???

Not me.

Did you notice the 12 albums I've listed above? Not a single Techno-esque album among them.

The only music in my collection that I would consider remotely "Techno" would be Air's "Premiers Symptomes" and "Moon Safari" albums, and a couple albums by Aphex Twin.

I'm by far mostly into Classical, Jazz, and Bluegrass. Also a good bit of World music and Reggae.

Ghanima-

Yeah, I have a few works by Pat Metheny. I really like his "Bright Size Life" album. Not familiar with Percy Hill, but I'll look into it.

26taurus-

Thanks for the compliments.

I LOVE Taurus girls. Kelly Clarkson and Marguerite Moreau have long been among my top celebrity crushes. Seems I've only been romantically involved with two Taurus girls though.

Interestingly, all four of these women are first-decanate Tauruses. Kelly Clarkson is April 24th, Marguerite Moreau is April 25th, and Colleen and Becky (my two Taurus romances) are April 26th and April 27th, respectively. Becky was my life's first and greatest obsession (many Quindeciles!!). She was such a bad habit, and I loved it.

Its great being zodiac opposites. Something just feels so good about it. It can be absolute misery at times, but for a Scorpio, it is almost exactly what I need. And that feeling of subconscious mutual understanding from being on a shared Axis has always been there, even when our Sun oppositions are out of orb.

Unfortunately, I think my Leo Asc has caused some trouble with us.

Woohoo!!! Taurus girls!!!

Kelly Clarkson, April 24th (Taurus Moon)

Marguerite Moreau, April 25th (Cancer Moon, I believe)

Colleen, April 26th (Scorpio Moon)

Becky, April 27th (Gemini Moon)

Hey, that's pretty cool! ...i guess I'd be in the third decanate - May 17th..

I've had maaany close Scorpio friends throughout the years. For the most part, the saying 'opposites attract' hold true in my life too.

And I'm a Ween fan too! My Taurus ex turned me on to them!

Speaking of Ween, I love this video, "Transdermal Celebration"- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU91POX33aE

Ween being from New Hope, PA, caught on pretty quickly with us kids in Philly back in the 90's. Ah, to be a teenager again.
