If I never said.....

how terribly sorry I am to hear your horrible experience,

I am telling you now.
My heart hurts for you.

It is amazing how you can be so generous to share your pain for others to gain insight and awareness.

My mother was a victim of this.
She has no memories that she can recall.
But her older sister and brother do.
Her brother could not deal with it and he took to drinking and passed on in his forties.

My Aunt deteached herself away from the family and moved to another state.
While there, she started seeing a therapist and after many, many sessions it was discovered that my Aunt has Multiple Personality Disorder, so bad, that the therapist was supposedly, with her consent, writing a book about her experiences.
I do not know if it was ever written, as I stated she has disengaged herself from all of the family.

No charges were ever brought.
When things were "discovered" my grandparents abandoned my mom, aunt, and uncle in a house for days, until they were eventually found by another family member.

My grandfather went out west somewhere, and drank himself to death.
My grandmother married 8 times without getting a divorce, ever, and lived in New Orleans.
Last I heard, she fled to Costa Rica, where the extradition laws were muddled in her favor. Don't know if she still lives. Don't care to know, what she did to my mother and her sibilings, has affected each and every other limb from this family tree.

To exacerbate matters, there is even at least one self-described professional astrologer who, not only has claimed that s/he has every right to post partial, unprofessional, "creative", "imaginative" and biased astrological interpretations here, merely because s/he happens to be a huge fan of the celebrity s/he has been interpreting, but also the ludicrous argument that s/he is much older than someone else is, hence her/his superiority to the other person regarding astrological professionalism or interpretations.

She does have the right to post any sort of astrological interpretation she likes. The only way you can integrate the aspects of an astrological chart is through the imagination. Interpretations of the different complex aspects in a chart aren't available, so one does have to pull all the meanings of the individual aspects together in order to create what could be deemed an "imaginative" or "creative" interpretation. Additionally, it's not unusual around LL for people to have astrological theories. Every theory is just imagination until it's proven true.

Her age and experience are justifiable reasons for believing in her astrological knowledge. What reason do you have for believing your astrological opinions are superior to hers?

As far as I'm concerned, you're not in a position to make astrological judgments in the first place. Not after your recent disputing that Mars indicates traits a hetero woman looks for in a man even while you've fallen for a person whose Rising sign matches your Mars sign.

quote:
Astrological interpretations are based on astrological knowledge

Right...and who has more astrological knowledge, you or Geocosmic?

quote:
Intuitive understanding- yes.

Intuitive understanding is fine, but you see that as different and separate from imagination and creativity? So if Geocosmic's reading was intuitive then it's OK? You should go ahead and consider it intuitive then instead of complaining about it because it doesn't coincide with what you want to hear.

quote:
I honestly am not a single bit inclined to debate with someone who, three years ago, posted on the old Astrology forum, stating that Mercury opposition Saturn (which happened to be the poster's own natal aspect)= Mercury trine Saturn. That was nonsense.

I think you're having another of your poor memories (similar to your equating "and" with GeminiNymph). I don't recall ever stating an opinion that my Mercury opposite Saturn is equal to Mercury trine Saturn.

quote:
Once she breaks any of the rules, she has discredited herself.

What rules? And who decided that you were judge that could determine such things? How is it that you came to be the only one to judge her work in the way that you did? Are you the single logical person here?

quote:
Your logic is distorted.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with "superiority".

My logic is no such thing. YOU have determined GV's interpretation to be greatly immoral somehow, and the only way you could make such an assessment would be if you considered your knowledge superior. It is about superiority.

quote:
It's about being neutral, emotionally detached, unbiased, analytical, and impersonal.

You hardly seem neutral, emotionally detached, unbiased, or impersonal. You've obviously considered what you've said (which is exactly the same as what she did), so I'll grant that you're both analytical. Don't be so quick to lable someone who exhibits the traits that you bear yourself.

Also, in general, people don't look to astrologers to be ANY of those things. Most people looking for help from astrologers want the opposite of all of those traits except "analytical."

T, LEXX, Diabla, GypseeWind, Pire, VinayM19, Glaucus, SunChild, Peri, Valus, Quinnie...and every single one of you who truly cares for me-

I appreciate your support all along.

Provided any of you has anything to say to the furious, emotional individuals who are taking things personal- please, allow me to gently remind you-

The best support I can ever receive from any of you, all of you, regarding the situation at hand, is to completely ignore these angry persons who are taking things personal. Please simply ignore them- that's the best support I can get from all of you. I believe that most of you are wise enough to not take sides in such situations. I am thanking you for your support for me as neglecting the people who intend to murder my own self-introduction thread. Thank you again for your support and wisdom.

D, what the hell is your deal?
It's like you're starting **** with everyone and hell-bent on arguments and long, endless posts.
I have no idea what the hell what's going on in your life, because your posts are getting increasingly abstract and impersonal.
What's up with you?

DfD

I say this to you with absolute compassion.

Reading your posts and the mania and panic and fear and anger in them - I just see someone who really needs a lot of love and forgiveness and some person-to-person help. I know falling apart and I know when I see it.

I feel for you because I think you are in tremendous pain. But you can't use the excuse that you have troubles to sh1t on others. Everyone has troubles. I don't believe you are angry at anyone here, but I think you take your anger out on the Knowflakes here. If anything, I think you are angry with yourself. Coming onto the threads and starting arguments is only going to make someone sensitive, hypersensitive.

You really make me think of someone I knew as they were having a breakdown. I feel for you. I'd like to be of help to you, but I don't know how or even sure if you really want it. Anger only eats the person holding it inside them, from inside out.

I don't intend to "murder" your self-introduction thread, and it's doubtful that our conversation will end with your thread being locked. It was also not my intention to add any more detriment to Deux's thread in Astro 2. Of course the logical course of action if you feel your thread is being threatened would be to take the conversation to my thread, which I'll happily accomodate. The rest of my response will be there, so you need not worry about the life of your thread anymore.

Hi D for defiant,
I just want to say that I have friends who experienced what you have experienced, all of it from the abuse to the multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and multiple suicide attempts.
They were helped by very special people as adolescents rather than being hospitalised in an adult insitution. My friend had babies during this abuse, who were in turn taken by the abusers to become part of the circle.
They have survived. One of them is engaged to be married and pregnant with their first baby together and they are doing so well but thanks to the help and a very strong support network but they have bad days and still days when they struggle.
Do you have any kind of support or help to support you as you live beyond your past?

Hey D;
Back to my language fascination for a moment if you don't mind.
You said your native language was Mandarian Chinese, yes?
Can you explain the difference between that and just Chinese. Is it just a regional or dilect difference or a completely different language?
Sorry to pester you with these kind of questions, I just find it endlessly fascinating, and well, your the only person I know to ask! So I hope you don't mind!
